Caller Adam Smith with a india accent and manager name unknown called and requested a deposit of 240.00 and then receive 780.00 plus deposit back I have gotten calls like this before and they assured it's not a scam

"Final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 206-204-5553. I repeat the number 206-204-5553. Thank you."

Yes, Received a call from this number and They said they were IRS. Last call ,we are filling a suit against you.... Same as above post... Exactly.. Who are these people? And where do they get People's number's? And why can't we have the Attorney General STOP these Cons and Thieves. This should not even be AVAILABLE!! To be able to use a number from the USA and on TOP- Claim they are IRS! This is INSANE, When is it going to STOP? I am going to do my best to be able to come up with a PROGRAM? Something , To STOP these JERKS!

A), They are in a different COUNTRY
B) Unless they are in THIS COUNTRY, (AKA the UNITED STATES), we cannot file suit.
C) They use AUTOMATIC DIALERS which call EVERY NUMBER IN A SEQUENCE.

The Real Seriously is right! Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. We have no jurisdiction in those country's.  Do a search for call blocking devices and phones. That is the best bet to get rid of these calls and others.

I also got the same voicemail.

I just got the same message today and called back and was told that their is an arrest warrant out for me and that officers have been to my home twice with dates and times. So I call H & R Block who has done my taxes for over 20 years, and they told me that it is a scam and directed me to this site. However am in the process of verifying with the REAL IRS.

I called back and was told that I have a arrest warrant for me and that I owe IRS $1,240.00 for miscalculations on my filings from 2009-2014.

Its a scam.  They are trying to steal $1,240.00 from you.  Do not pay it.  Do not give them any information.

I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive). IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.  IRS has enough administrative authority under the IRS Code and related regulations to collect all taxes lawfully due the federal government.     Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest as related to ordinary tax disputes.  Having a deficiency in taxes owed by way of audit is NOT a crime.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

Ok, do something to gets these scammers.  Tired of the bogus calls already.

I received the same call~ in fact I've been receiving them for a few months now.

IRS scam don't answer and block them, IRS will mail you a notice if real.

"This call is officially and finally notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service...blah blah blah....."  I know this is a scam!

I asked him if he was calling from the IRS office from Mumbai, he laughed & knew I was wise to the scam

Do they call any known political big shot or real IRS  personnel to scam the money? I  wonder.? SCAM and do not respond.

I got this on my work phone.  What a bunch of losers.  I've had a bunch of them.  I just hang up on them.  I know they are scammers and this is false.
