The only thing I admitted to was my name but did NOT admit or deny the SS# she gave to me, she immediately said since I would not admit that the SS# was mine or not she could not talk to me and IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP.....BIG SHOCK LOLOL!!!! The only thing I can say at this point is DUUUUUHH WHO the HECK admits to this information over the phone anyways!?!?!? This SCUM is SO UNPROFESSIONAL, STUPID, AND DON'T EVEN FOLLOWS THE LAWS IN THIS COUNTRY ON DEBT COLLECTION IN ANYWAY, SHAPE OR FORM!!!!! I have received NOTHING by mail or served papers for ANYTHING recently or even in YEARS which IS the LEGAL WAY to do such things, NOT this BS!!! Sooooo anyhoo peeps....looks like the SCUM SUCKERS have ONCE AGAIN a new # and Magic Jack LOLOL!!!! When is this country going to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS TOTALLY ILLEGAL, HARASSMENT, ETC...ETC ON THE INNOCENT PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY!?!?!? Just thought I would let you all know that pay attention and get these calls about the new #. Now as I have a bit of time right now, when I'm done writing this I will call them back and MESS WITH THEM for awhile, LOVE WASTING THEIR TIME AND MAKING THEM 'THINK' THEIR GOING TO GET SOMETHING and then let them know after a bit that I KNOW WHO AND WHAT THEY REALLY ARE AND WILL BE GETTING.....NOTHING!!!!!! Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - me replies to Tamianthawesome thanks for the info..
- DeannaI received a call from them for the past 2 weeks stating that I had a check fraud. I have no freaking idea what they are talking about bc I don't even have checks nor do I use them. Another scam I'm sure.
- ShellClearly they are stupid cause I don't have a payday loan or a meta bank account which is a prepaid account and further more any person with common sense knows you can not have a payday loan transferred to a prepaid account. Lol they are such ignorant people. Told me I owe 1200 plus dollars in restitution or I would go to jail. I told them please send them to pick me up I'll be waiting! Scam!!!!!!

- Pam replies to Tamianth| 1 replyI keep getting these calls and I am sick of them. I wish someone could stop them. I tell them I don't owe anyone of these companies and I want them to leave me alone. A friend of mine had them harassing him that it drove him out of him mind and he killed himself. I have called the sheriff office, district attorney , attorney general and the better business bureau and reported them and I still keep getting the calls please someone stop these scammers us poor people that don't have a lot of money and are out here trying to do right don't deserve to be harassed

- d Jenkins replies to MCGot the same message but I'm reporting them to the. FBI.
- CWG40 replies to MCNo it isn't. Judges only issue warrants for arrest to duly constituted law enforcement agencies on the basis of probable cause that the person named in the warrant in fact committed the crime. Debt collectors can't get warrants issued to them and have no power of arrest.
Being in debt is not a crime. We don't have debtors prisons. Don't let this person scare you.
Report them: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection - CWG40 replies to PamCall blocker might be your best bet. Also, don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
