It is not eBay letting him do this - he is spoofing eBay and sending emails from a different domain.  Pay attention to the domain you are receiving mail from, IT IS NOT EBAY.  Unless you found the car on ebay and went through the process of purchasing it on eBay - run for the hills.

I was going nutz trying to borrow the money.
Thank God I checked out google before I sent it
and committed myself to years of ridicule from
various friends and relatives.
Well, at least this is one time that I didn't end
up on the bottom.
For all you guys that did get get scammed consider
it a very expensive lesson that alot of us have learned.

I'm an US Air Force MSgt. currently stationed in United Kingdom.The bike is here with me. It was bought in the US and shipped to Europe, but it was never permanently registered here, the bike is still registered in the US.The bike is for sale locally as well, but there are slim chances of this to happen. In order to be able to register this bike here in UK the buyer would have to pay very high import/custom taxes that will double the price. So I decided to sell the bike back in the US.

another name they are using is MSgt. Douglas Gosselin this one is for a harley davidson fatboy motorcycle. using the same story shipping from uk to us. This guy really is a master sargent in the air force but im sure he is not the one scaming.

I also found this same bike (same pictures) on another sight being sold buy the "famous" Allan Porter. i cant tbeleive they are getting away with this BS. the add has been flagged and removed from craigslist in several different states so watch out its not just cars they are "selling".

  I've been screwing with him/her for a while.  They're trying to sell me a BMW 645 for 12,100.  It's from Craigslist.  This person is Ana Brown and is a divorced single mom (boo-hoo, please feel sorry for me....).  I'd love to find this person and jack their day.  Keep the posts coming so others have something to search for and not get screwed.

I also checked on this bike, but it was being posted on Craigslist by MSgt Douglas Gosselin. I seriously thought there was a typo when I first saw the price. I expected to get a return mail saying it was actually $14850.00, and even that price would have been a deal. No, I was told it was $4850.00 and the bike was in UK, but not to worry the $4850.00 included overseas freight as well as transportation to my door!!! Ya Right, IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

Again, the pictures show a bike that would be a steal at $8900.00, and includes shipping from, I couldn't find out where through DAS.
I did more checking and I found multiple postings from different people for the same bike. The VIN is bogus etc, etc...
So, if it sounds to good to be true, you know the rest.

Confirmed sighting of scammer "Defilante" after I cc'ed him (yeah I'm an evil [***] and taunt them into screwing up :)) on a spam complaint to google. His brilliant response "fu" =)

I'm so shocked, just absolutely devastated. I think I'll have to hire someone to go find my self respect now that I've been told to "fu" by a scammer.

Either that or he forgot the body and just initialed the e-mail rather than sign it... since he is a f up :)

Thank you all so much for this info.  My name is Douglas Gosselin and I was stationed in the UK a little over a year ago.  I am not the fraudster that has been trying to cheat you, but apparently someone is using my name.  Please don't victimize me any further by using my name with this scam artist.  However, if anyone finds out anything further about the individual doine this, please advise.

Also, I doubt the name Sgt. Porter is the right person either.
