who is unknown caller

I think its a bill collector. I just got a call too

yes a debt collector, no reputable lawyer calls they send you detailed info, for a paper trail

Left odd message "from attorney's office" but didn't seem to know my name, didn't identify the attorney's officer etc...sounded totally bogus.  Then they seemed not to know they hadn't disconnected and I could hear all kinds of other people making and leaving similar calls to other people in the background like a big call center.  It's a scam of some type.  Maybe a debt collector but I'm not sure as I honestly have no debts.  I have employees so many they were trying to elicit info on someone I know...I don't know but I'm not gonna be calling them.  Oh, they called me from this number but told me to call them back on 877-543-6151

It says that it is a law office.  The call sounded like a collector and I could not even identify the name they were asking for, it was so garrbled.  The person is not at my number and when I called to have my number taken off the list (I work at a business) they said their system was down and to call later.  WOW!

Sounds like the same story you are all reporting.  My husband just got a call on his cell phone and was put on hold for over 5 minutes and then disconnected.  This is such an obvious scam- we have no debt and that area code is in PA.  Don't fall for it! Please protect your info!

Have had several of these calls each from a different person in Landis law office. Some polite some pretty rude.  Calls come in on a MagicJack line. My Magicjack died about 18 months ago except for taking inbound messages. Today I signed into my MagicJAck account on line and enabled call forwarding to 215-526-2600 so when they call again they get forwarded to their own office.

If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit against attorney landis please make a note of it here.

This is a SCAM do not give out any info to these people not even your name. One of our workers were told they owed a bogus amount of money for a 5/3 bank account from 1998 in Columbus ,OH and he does not owe them. There are like three  attorneys that work together and one of them was arrested for something related to children I believe. And they have people that call and try to make you feel  you owe DO NOT SEND MONEY.. They have several phone numbers they will call from also. The person I talked on the phone with  from this number was very rude and I tried telling them that this is a business and you call her serveral times a day and harass our help. Please do not call back. She responded that they are a business too.

Just got a call from the same place. They were looking for a michelle, but im not the one they were looking for.  I tried to tell the woman on the phone that she had the wrong last name. She asked what it was and i told her that I wasn't going to provide that information to her. So she said that I was a LIAR thats why i wouldnt tell her.  I told her to go to hell and hung up. If it is truly a law office like they said, she would be on the unemployed list by the end of the day for saying that. I'm very good friends with an attorney and that is not the way a real attorney office treats people on the phone. It's not good for customer relations.

My son received a call from this number today and on the caller ID it came up as LMM. I answered the phone and he said he was an attorney from "Attorney Tom Landis's office". He needed to speak with my son, I told him he was not home. He stated that he needed to speak with him in regards to a debt. I asked what debt it was in reference to and he asked if I was his attorney. I told them no and that I was his mother. He said he could not disclose that information since I'm not his attorney and said since he was an attorney that he wanted my son to call him back at this number 1-877-543-6151 x129 Ed Heisenberg and gave me an ID number. I told him that my son has NEVER received a letter from this attorney's office and he stated that he should have. I told him that he can "RESEND" the letter out if it is that important. I then decided to google the 215-526-2600 number and found this site. I am so glad that this site is available to protect hard working people so they do not give out their personal information. I told my son NOT to call these people back. If the company does call back I am going to tell them ONCE and only once to stop calling. If they continue to call I will let the answering machine pick up and keep track of all the messages then file harrassment charges with my police department here, but also in Bensalem, PA.

They are wasting time

Several people in our office have gotten the same calls, they even went as far as contacting  another family member trying to reach someone.
Thank goodness no one gave our personal information to these callers.
Maek anyone you know aware of what is happening, so that these types of individuals cant harm anyone unsuspected of what they are doing.

I got a call today from these ppl and I went strait to the computer and found this. I figured that I would get a letter, if it was from a real attorney. Thanks for this wedsite.

BOGUS!!! IGNORE!!! BLOCK!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!! They buy 10 yr old debt and try to scare folks into paying!

They intimidate people and extort money from those in debt and have court cases. They call at randon to people in the white pages with the same family name of their intended victim hoping that will it lead them to the real person they want to intimidate.
Ignore this call and report the call to this site.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone (this is the second time they've called). They left a voice mail but the name they are asking for isn't even my name and my voice mail message says my name, yet the ask for a different name on the message they leave. I called the guy back asking him why he called and what his phone call is regarding, I gave him the case number he left and he said that it wasn't showing up on his computer. I was like "well you called asking for somebody on my phone and I think you got the wrong number" he asked what name he was asking for and I said "I don't know, I couldn't understand what name you were asking for" He said "Ok have a good day" and he hung up. What the heck?!
