Claimed it was Kohls. Asked to call an 800 number. I don't shop there.

calls me multiple times a day mornings & evenings... has called 13 days in a row. and i have never answered??? WEIRD... if you don't know the number and they do not ever leave a message do worry your missing an important call... if it was they would leave a voicemail.

I'm getting call after call from this number. I rarely get a voice mail, when I do it is an incomplete message stating "dial 555 thank you".

They've called me twice today?!!!  I didn't answer.  If someone does answer, please let me know what they want!!

starting getting calls from this.. didn't answer the first time and did a phone number lookup and found this thread... has been calling early in the morning and late at night..not the normal telemarketing hours.  Answered it today but didn't say anything..other side was silent for 30 seconds before they disconnected

This number calls at least 5 times a day. Whenever I pick up it just hangs up! Please someone let me know if you find out what this is because it has been happening for a week!

this number called today.  the caller id said "kohls dept store."  i work at kohls, but did not recognize the area code or number so i did a search for it to find out the location and i found this site.  i guess its just an odd coincidence that i also work there?

I called this number back myself, they called my cell. Automated answer, thank you for calling "Kohl's Credit Center)...Either way, I didnt have my card handy and was skeptical about punching in my account number. Like previous emails I read..if it was important and legit, they would leave a message. All my other credit card companies or whatever do that.

This is a scam! When you pick up the phone an automated voice comes on-  saying they are Kohls and asking you to punch in the last 4 digits of your SS#.- I am calling the Atty General's office to report this. Don't fall for it, don't punch in your Kohl's number or SS#.

I keep getting phone calls on a daily (sometimes several times a day, sometimes four times a week..) from 1.888.838.2958. When I pick up, the call goes dead, when I call back I get an automated response asking for my pin code. When a dummy code is entered, it says "your code has expired, please dial 0 to speak with an operator" so when you dial "0", it goes through-NOPE! It hangs up on you. Been going on for about two-three months now....little frustrating. And now this number has started up. I guess it's not a huge deal as long as it's not impacting my minutes...???

This is for a collections , and or late payment.
I called the # and confirmed that my payment was not received for the previous month.
This is no great conspiracy to get your information. If I may suggest to if it gives you a name. I.E. in this case Kohl's call "Kohl's" customer service and confirm this is one of their credit departments. Paranoia serves no common good.

They call and never leave a message and call numerous times a day.  If it is Kohls, my card is paid up and don't have a clue why they are calling.  Sounds like some scam to me.

I get about five calls a day from this number on my cell phone. I have never shopped at Kohls and never answer. It always leaves the same message telling me to call 1-888-814-3555n but I have never called.

I have been getting two calls a day, sometimes as late as 9:00pm from this number:  WISCONSIN  262-703-1977.  It is an automated message telling you to enter either your account number or YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!  I do not have an account at Kohls and seldom shop there.  I called a local Kohls and told the assistant manager about the calls, and he was indifferent about the situation and told me he didn't know what to do.  He said it is definitely NOT Kohls calling as they only call people who have an account with them.  He brushed me off, saying he didn't know what I should do.  I have received two calls from these creeps already today, and I'm getting sick of being harassed!

Has called my cellphone several times asking for a "Patricia Dickey" at first i thought it was nothing and said it was the wrong number. however, they persisted in calling days after asking for that same person...so i yelled at them saying "this is obviously not the person you're trying to reach, so quit it!!!" Gosh, really annoying.

Wisconsin 262-703-1977 - they have been calling my number for the past 3 weeks, sometimes 3 times a day; at least 2 times a day. On Friday night around 8:00 pm, they called, and my husband actually spoke with a live person. Before, it was just automated prompts to enter account number or social security number. The lady asked to speak with Megan Wagner. My husband told her there was no one at this number by that name and that we have been getting harassing calls from them for 3 weeks. He told her that we had notified the local police department and asked her to not call us again. We have not heard from them since then. I don't know if they have actually stopped the calls for good or will continue with them later on. If they continue calling, I will have my telephone number changed. They could probably also get that number too, so I don't know how much good that would do, but that was what the lazy person from Verizon offered me when I called to complain. He said he doesn't think this is a scam and that it would be a lot of trouble to trace the calls. He told me I would have to pay $4.00 per call and it would take at least 4 calls to trace them. I told him no way. I'm not paying money to stop idiots harassing me with annoying telephone calls. I personally think it is a scam, and whoever is doing it should be behind bars....now!

is going through fraud....They will get caught.

Wow, I thought this was just me!! I have gotten 13 calls in the last few days. The first time they actually asked for someone, I told them they have the wrong #. Since then, if I answer, there is no one there. If I don't answer, they don't leave a message. I finally called them back and it was Kohls. Like others said, the recording asked for my account # or SS#. Of course, I didn't give either!!

calls me too often without anyone ever being there when i answer.
