- anne| 6 repliesCalled today. It's a recording from a man calling himself Steve Marden from the U S Treasury regarding an impending lawsuit against me and I should called this # 302.927.7422. He spoke with an Indian accent. This is a new # used by same type of calls. Expect to get more of the same calls since it's a new tax filing season! I used to compile a list of scam phone# but gave up because it's too many.

- Rose replies to anneGot the same call several times. The guy said he was from the U.S. Treasury and it was urgent I called. Called it back today. Asked the guy where he was calling from. He hesitantly said New York. When I asked what city, he was stumped. I told him he was mistaken and probably didn't mean to call me and I hung up.
- Lori replies to anneI got the same message....so irritating!

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

https://www.straighttalkwirelessforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6803&t=55006 - AJ USAThis is the third time I received this call in the last week and a half. Same all all of the above. It's some Indian or middle eastern guy trying to threaten you with arrest, jail, and prosecution claiming to be from the US Treasury for failing to pay taxes. I called him back (using number blocking) and told him to go F himself you scumbag scammer. I reported it but they keep changing their number so it's just a blocking game. Not that our government would do anything about it anyway. Every time they call on a new number I just block it. The problem is pretty soon I will run out of space on my phone to block numbers. Very frustrating that we have so many low lifes in this world. I hope these scumbags die of cancer because that's what they are.

- BCIRS scam call. It was a recording from a middle-eastern man calling himself "Steve Martin" who told me to call back him. I called and asked for "Steve Martin". Got a different person who seemed confused. His English was so bad, I couldn't understand most of what he said. I told him I couldn't understand him, and he said he would call back. Continued conversation a second time and was told I owed $6000+. I said I'd pay it and asked how. He said it was not his job to collect. He was only advising me about my imminent arrest for tax evasion. He thanked me and hung up. WTF? How are they making money? Will I get another call? Anyone know what happens next?
