HUGE SCAM! Beware. Left message without knowing who he was calling.  Heavy accent and said urgent matter to contact him. Said he was David with an enforcement action secured by United States Treasury for federal criminal offense to go in front of magistrate. He said let us help you.  If the US govt has to contact you, I'm sure they will.  If it's so urgent they will in person or with a certified letter.  So bogus!

Left voice mail he was from Treasury Dept. About an enforcement action. Said it would be brough before a magistrate. Had a foreign accent.

Left message stating his name as David Grey from US Treasury & magistrate would arrest me if I did not return call so they could help me

Received  same call via voicemail. GET THESE SCAMMERS!

This number called twice in two days.
Just as others have reported, a man with a tick foreign accent states hes from the US treasury and an action is being brought against me.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Scam - said they are from Dept. of Treasury regarding unpaid 2011 taxes.  Broken English - hardly understand.  When I said to her their telephone number is all over the internet as a Scam, said okay and hung up.

Third time this week I've received this recorded call. The first time I called back right away knowing it was a scam and told them I was reporting them, they hung up.  I still received two more calls.

This kind of prank call could seriously scare someone who is more gullible to bogus authoritarian threats.

The same thing just happened to me too!!  Said if i dont call back right away, i will have a federal criminal charge against the united states!!! If people like these would put as much effort into finding a real job as much as they put into doing scams, no one would be out of work!!

Received this call 2X in the last few days.  Exactly as above - US Treasury calling about what could be a criminal action on my part.  How ridiculous.

Second day in a row received this scam call...

This has been going on for a couple years. I got the same call last year about this time. A man with a thick middle eastern accent saying he works for the IRS. Just tell them to [***] and hang up. Don't quite understand why someone isn't doing something about this. A guy says he works for the U.S. government and threatens people with jail. Apparently the feds have other things to do. I gotta believe, if they wanted to, they could find this operation.
