- Nancy336-833-0898 is a pain in the rump. They call all day long and even on the weekend late 9:25 pm which is illegal and repeated late evening calls on October 18, 2014 breaking my rest time. They are foreigners and you tell them to take you off their list that you are not interested, they call back more than 10 times a day, The telephone companies are accountable for this, if you pay for specific telephone features. They have no respect for the Sabbath, nor High Holy Days, such as, Rosh Hasanah and Yom Kippur.
The Do Not Call List evidently is not working when all of these various types of calls come through regardless. They call every number trying to reach someone with the same last names which is ridiculous. They call claiming Diabetic supplies etc. They are like tormenting demons.- Caller: Based in North Carolina
- TammyThey keep calling even when you ask them to stop & take you off their list. I am on the do not call list & have told them I am on the list & to stop harassing me. Needless to say, it doesn't work. I have been reporting them on ftc.gov every time they call. I have had some of these types of calls stop after reporting them to the FTC, so I keep hoping that maybe they can get these leeches shut down too.

- Cynthia MooreThey keep calling no matter what I do or say.

- Cynthia Moore| 1 replyThe calls are getting worse. They call at least ten times per day.and the person they call for does not live here. I am not a diabetic my husband or children are not diabetic. I am home from work after having open heart surgery two weeks ago. These calls are very stressful. I ask them to stop calling,I asked to speak to a supervisor then the man began to moan in the phone and just kept saying my name. The name on caller I'd is Asad Rafi. Something should be done Charges should be filed against whoever this is. I am going to start recording all calls.
- Alfalfa replies to Cynthia MooreRecording them is not going to do any good. These are telecriminals using computers to spoof their numbers and identities. Invest in a call blocker---one which can be programmed to reject calls from multiple area codes.
- DarrellMy caller I.D. says it is Asad Rafi as well. They called me at 6:30 a.m. this morning while I was sleeping.
They continue to call my number even though I asked them to take me off their list. They have called me 6 times in the past 2 hours.
I told them that I would report them to my local police department.
Where I live the police department will follow up on harassing callers to try to get them shut down.
I suggest that everybody do this so we can get these idiots shut down.
This is bordering on terrorism as they seem to be harassing us just to piss us off.- Caller: Asad Rafi

- nolanThey call me every 15 minutes of every day. I work and go to school full time and it can be very distracting. I am a diabetic but I don't want any bs that this fake a$$ company is selling. I'm on the do not call list and have filed a complaint to the fcc but it's actually gotten worse. I'm convinced they got my info from my endocrinologist. Tip: if your doctor asks if he can give your number out to his medical supply reps, DONT DO IT.
- Hav-Ifood-yaI figured out a way to give them back some of their own medicine. Follow these steps. It's fun & easy.
1. Play along like you are interested. 2. When they read you back all of your address info. tell them that you have moved. 3. Give them a false address. 4. Verify that the new address is correct. When they ask if it is O.K. to transfer you over to another person to verify the information tell them, "I prefer not to." (This flusters them) They will insist that they transfer you to next person. 5. "I prefer not to." 6. Ask them what they are trying to sell to you. (In my case it was diabetic supplies) 7. Tell them that you don't use diabetic supplies. (Again, this upsets telemarketer)
In my case he called me a liar. 8. I said, "Why would I lie to you. You are such wonderful people." I asked him to have a good day, and waited for him to hang up first.
Try to keep caller on the line as long as possible to waste time on long distant call and the time that it wastes on paying telemarketer to stay on line. Make them spend money on wasted time.
I haven't had a call back since then. Give it a try. What a satisfying feeling to have pay back on them.- Caller: Asad Rafi

336-833-0898 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers. - Samantha BurressWe average 10-20 calls a day from this number. They claim to be a medical company selling diabetic supplies. They barely speak English...

- Slim replies to UserModern technology has given telespammers the tools to call you.
Lawbreaking telescammers ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocking device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.
Google "call blocker" for more information. There are available apps (some free) for smart phones, and services and devices for landlines.
If you cannot use or afford such a tool, then:
• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service. Telespammers usually hang up after 3 or 4 rings.
• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete. If the incoming call was important, they would have left a message!
• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group. (This also works for smartphones).
• Another option, for cell phones: Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers. That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact! You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number! (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers).
If you want to report potential fraudulent or scam calls, here are two pages of links to (mostly government) sites in Canada and the USA were you can report those scams, or learn more about them.
