Fake IRS. Do not answer

Ya just got call saying it was IRS and that they were going to sue me called to verify it was Irs and they gave me a fake id number 10004649 this is a total fake scam if the Irs wants money from you they would send a letter and a way to verify it is real or they would just take your refund

Caller ID said Private Caller so I didn't answer, but they left a message saying they were the IRS and they were letting me know they were filing a lawsuit against "you".  They couldn't even give a name. Obvious FAKE!!

I got this call and freaked out.  I just filed an amended return so I thought I had made a mistake until I realized they didn't give a name or a reference number to pull your case.  That's when I realized this was a fake. Jerks.

Thanks everyone!  Wish more folks would wake up and understand that these are scammers and would either not answer at all, or demand information be mailed (snailmail) with details.

Received this call,, unable to understand them,,stated they were in DC..at the same time i called my bank asked if the IRS had a hold of my accounts my bank said no. Thanks for the information everyone.

Fake IRS don't worry

I know this is a scam, but they KEEP calling, sometimes really early in the morning, and sometimes several times a day. How do I make it stop?

I keep getting calls from this number 346-303-9921 saying they're from the IRS and they are getting a lawsuit against me I called number back and it's a number that has been disconntected

Started to freak out as it says there is a lawsuit so I googled the number.  If someone wants to sue you they will send a letter it a more formal call!  Scamming jerks!

Message left was IRS wanted to sue me, I should call immediately. Did not identity me by name. Obviously fake.

Got the same call saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against 'you.'  Gave no name or case number and there's no reason the IRS would be filing a lawsuit against us.  Told the hubby the IRS would be contacting us by mail in writing and this sounded fishy.  That there were a lot of phone scammers out there.  He said we wouldn't be returning that call. Googled it and found out that it was a scammer call.

I just received the call from 346-303-9921 and 346-303-9917 and they both left voicemails.  When I called back I got no answer

This number calls all hours of the day....leaving messages about an IRS lawsuit being filed. I answered and they didn't say a word after I told them I was reporting this number to the IRS.

Sick of these [***] calling my house!!!  I know they're fake... but many senior citizens do not.  They make me sick.  I enjoy calling them back for sport and harassing the crap out of them.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Just got a message saying they were the IRS and to call them back, because there is a lawsuit "against you" (their words). Obviously a scam!
