A foreign person called stating that I'm having computer problems and that my computer was about to crash. He was persistent about me getting on my computer and him walking me through help. I refused his help because I was not having any computer problems and he got mad so I hung up on him and he called back.  He was yelling at me and was very forceful. He said he was with Supportonclick.com.

He or she want you to map out your IP so they can control and receive any and all data on your computer.  This is a Nigeria scam see if you can get the number blocked or you might have to change it.

We had a very similar incident just a few days ago -- a man calling himself "Ron Wilson" but having a foreign -- we thought perhaps Indian -- accent called our home number and told us that they were receiving an error from our "PC Office" service.  I was online at the time and mu wife thought he was referring to our GO TO MY PC service, but I couldn't talk to him at the time and he angrily hung up. When I called back there was no answer.  We called GO TO MY PC (Citrix Online) and they spent many days determieing that it was not one of there calls, but was in fact a fraud attempt.
Many thanks to Jeff Felix and the folks at Citrix Online.

I recieved a call from a person with a foreign accent offering help with my computer problems. I have been having problems with my printer and trying to find answers online to fix it. But I was suspicious that anyone would call me and I could not remember having listed my phone number.  My called ID showed "unknown number" but when I asked him what company he was with he said they were a suppport service for microsoft and when asked for his phone number so I could tell if he was legit he gave me 347-289-3770 and his name as Jack Watson.  He asked me to tell him about my problem and then he had to consult with his technician and he could tell me if they could repair it.  I asked to speak to the technician directly but it got very confusing and difficult to understand. I think "Jack" just changed his voice when he wanted me to think I was speaking to his technician. And he then had to come back and tell me what his technician told him.  He told me they could repair the problem for about $30.  and I told him NO that I had contacted HP  (my printer brand) and already been charged a fee for updates.  He said "then you should call them" I said I will and hung up on him.  I was very suspicious so I googled the number and found this website.  I hope Microsoft knows he is trying to rip off people using their name.

I just got the same call...Ron Wilson....and he gave me the same run around mentioned. He also gave his extension number, 10080.  How can scams like this be stopped?

I also received the same call yesterday.  I told him I didn't trust him and was going to hang up, and at least he didn't get abusive.  Definitely an Indian inflection to his voice--I doubt his name was Ron Wilson.  The website he sent me to was cheezy and an obviously suspect "pay for support" deal.

Call from unknown caller & unknown phone.  Man,with an obviously Indian accent, said he received an error message from my computer and he needed me allow him to gain access to my computer so he could repair it.  He also said it had a widespread virus and my computer was in danger of crashing.  He said his name, but I asked him to repeat it and spell it because his accent was so pronounced.  He spelled it this way:  Roan Wilson.  He said he worked at:  Online Supportonclick.  I asked, him how could I know if he was who he said he was.  That's when he gave me this number to call (347) 289-3770 and someone would verify the info he gave me and connect me to him by phone.  I asked how would I know who I was really talking to?  He said he'd be awaiting my call.  I called HP Tech Service and they verified that I had been talking to a scam artist.

I received a call from an Indian man calling himself Neil Martin from supportonclik.com -- telling me that he got an error message from my computer -- funny thing was my computer was not on at the time and then he changed and said it was 2 weeks ago -- when asked how he got my phone number he said that he was able to trace it from my internet provider and then they game him my number - I called my ISP and they told me that was not true -- HE also wanted me to let him log into my computer to fix this error, I told him I was busy now and would call him back he gave me 2 different numbers one is 347-289-3770 out of NY and the other is 781-452-0714 out of MA I looked them up as he would not tell me where he was from. I kept asking this person he knew that my computer had this error since I did not send the report but he could not answer me.  This sure sounds like a scam to me

My mother in law was called, same number, same scam.  On 2/2 the person identified himself as Brad from Support on click. They said her computer was having trouble (too slow or something has invaded her PC that could destroy it and everything in it..etc).  She told them she wasn't having any problems and hung up. She got a phone number( 347-289-3770) to call them to see how the call was identified. Upon answering they list themselves as Support on click.

Same story. Indian sounding guy with an incomprehensible name claiming Microsoft had given him my name, address and phone number. Claimed my computer was slow and I kept getting error messages and my hard drive was corrupt. I said I wasn't having a problem. He told me to look at certain files and I did, saw a number of files with the current date on them, but nothing alarming. He wanted to control my computer remotely. I eventually told him no and hung up on him.

This is super creepy! I received a phone call just about an hour ago. The person was a guy with a middle eastern accent. On my caller ID it came up unknown name and unknown number. I answered it anyway. The guy was very evasive. He asked for me, but I pretended that I was the babysitter, then he asked if my husband was home. He asked for my husband by first and last name. I had to aske him what the call was regarding. All he would tell me is that it was regarding his computer. I asked what about his computer. He said that it has to do with an "error" that keeps popping up online. The more questions I asked the more agitated he became. I asked him if this was a company. He said "yes", but I had to ask the actual name of the company. He told me Support on Click. He gave me this number for my husband to call him back. It was so weird that I thought that I would research this number on the internet. I am SO glad that I did. I wasn't going to call him back, but now I know for sure that I AM NOT calling him back. We were and are not having computer problems. I hope something can be done about this. I feel sorry for anyone who happens to fall for this scam.

I received TWO calls from Support Onclick today reflecting precisely the same messages previous posters have communicated.  THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM with Indian "associates" on the phone using Anglocized names.  It appears as if the group sends out (somehow) a virus causing your system to falter or crash, and then calls you with a bogus story of how your computer generated an error report to them (as if).  For a nominal fee, they will help you restore your computer.  Does anyone have any idea as to which legal authority to communicate this invasion?  The person with whom I spoke gave the street address of the organization as 6332 Grand Central Parkway, NYC but I do not think there is such an address there.  Perhaps on Long Island?

This is way scary. My husband just called me upset saying someone named "Nelson" had called him and told him that he was contacted by "someone" that we were experiencing error message problems and that he was going to fix it remotely. Of course my huband was asking questions, like who contacted him and he said it was Microsoft. We know that is not true. This Nelson guy was very pushy and insistent even after my husband told him numerous times that he was not going to allow him to get on our computer and fix anything. So my husband hung up on him. This guy called back and gave my husband some attitude asking way he hung up on him and then still tried to get my husband to authorize him to work on our computer remotely and told him he talked to his supervisor and he would only charge 30.00. So my husband hung up on him again. He gave his name as Nelson and said his agent number was 10335 and that my husband could call 347-289-3770 and that he worked for Support On Click. I looked at the website and it doesn't look legit at all. Very cheap looking and ironically there is no address listed for this company nor does it mention any affiliation with Microsoft. I googled the number he gave us just to find all these messages from people who experienced the same thing my husband did. This is scary. Do you know ho wto go about blocking this phone number? Can I just call our provider and have them do it? Does anyone know who to contact and complain to about this fraud? Thanks!

Gotta kind of ask yourself......how would someone just out of the blue have any clue whatsoever that your computer was about to crash.

    Denise
I just received a call, out-of-the-blue, from a guy with an Indian accent.  He said his name, but I didn't catch it.  The caller ID said Caller Unknown.  He told me that my computer was infected and he would walk tell me how to fix it.  He told me my computer was about to crash and he took me to the www.supportonclick.com site.  When I saw that there would be a fee, I said "Not Interested" and hung up.  He immediately called back and angrily said "Why would you hang up on me?  Your computer is infected!  Don't you want to stop it from crashing?"  I said, "I am not going to pay for this service.  I will call Microsoft!" and hung up.  He didn't call back.

I typed in "fraud  www.supportonclick.com" and found this site;  https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-347-289-3770

I'm going to send this information to "Get Gebhardt" On Salt Lake City's  2 News at 10:00.  To warn other people about this Fraud!

I just got a call from my niece, she said a guy with a very deep Indian accent named Ron Wilson called her out of the blue, same phone number 347 289 3770 number ext 10080. This guy ran the same line; your PC is about to crash, you need to have these files removed immediately.

She has a hard time understanding Mr. Ron Wilson, who insisted that her computer was in jeopardy of crashing soon, but could not give a good answer as to how he got her phone number.

My niece was supicious and wanted me involved (I integrate computers for a living)my niece told Ron that I would be by soon and asked if they would tell her which files needed to be removed so that she could relay this important information to me.

They refused and insisted that they talk to me when I arrive so that they could direct me to the correct files (I guess they didn't want her trying to translate such highly technical information)and they could provide this service for $50.00

She declined thier offer, and told them I would take care of it. This is definitely some type of scam.

I checked out her computer and it is fine, no report of viruses or spyware and even her pop up blocker is working fine.

Where can this fraudulent scam be reported? we are in NJ
