Got call from an Indian gent, which sounded like it was coming from overseas.  Told me his name was Brandon Carter, and I was going to be sued by the Department of Legal Affairs.  So funny it made me laugh.   Told me I needed to call back or have my attorney call back.  Was very hard to understand.   Then after threatening me with a lawsuit he wished me a blessed day.  The need a new script writer.  Poor Brandon didn't even know what phone number to give me to call back, you could tell he had to look in another place to give me the right number.   Oh well, it was good for a laugh tonight.

Caller said he was calling from US treasury and there were some actions being taken against me said I was sent a letter and I never received one

Got call accented  gentleman tell me he need my attorney information regard a lawsuit n was call from the US treasury department ,also the sent me a letter ([***]) than gives me the name of a police office Ryan Coleman at the same phone # so I call back n get hello (no company or precinct name oh he's not right now I'm the Manger I can help so I ask what is this about Your a criminal n owe thousands of dollars  in  back taxes.  Threaten me with sending the fbi seizing  assets n all other manor of threats yet couldn't  tell me n info on who or what this  was regarding Oh really on a fixed income n chronic  illness don't make enough to pay taxes n also what would a cop have to do with back taxes going to call back from different phone # n see what happens these people have know idea who they f.... with I worked in credit n collection for years

Called back from different phone got say get lemon want my name n info n then told me have your case right her so I asked for case #to verify n he started threaten  legal criminal action etc etc n I told him worked in credit  n collection for years he's say what does that have to do with this you pay rent n electric bills right nope sorry I don't  I live with some one who does that oh he was silent . This is scary tact that self respect collector or collection agency let alone the government would do if the ever wanted to get paid I'm going to call them every day n as for Ryan Coleman oh n his name changed twice from one phone Robert  Carter when called back from second number his name was Frank Miller A..hole

Got similar call from someone named John Davis. He told me that I was being sued. He had my address.

I got a call from a Indian man saying he was from U.S. Treasury Legal Affairs, I could barely understand what he was saying. He made many threats that if me or my attorney didn't call back immediately he would see me in court!! Stupid idiot couldn't even remember the number I was supposed to call him back on...he changed his phone number 3 times!! Learn to speak English you stupid moron if ur going to TRY to scam people!! Garbage like this makes me furious!!

The Treasury Department does not make this type of phone call.  Clearly this is a scam.  The individual claimed to be from the Treasury Department and their legal department and asked if I was aware of legal situation filed against me for taxes.  Claiming to be a Federal Officer is a crime... and telling a 100% disabled combat veteran that has diability income "which is non-taxable" that he has a legal issue with the IRS regarding taxes is a 'load of .... "!!!  You get the idea.  They wanted me to "call back" & discuss it with one of their agents - giving me the same number they were calling from!  Hope people are using common sense and not responding and worst yet... hopefully not providing any confidential information or sending any money!   Sounds like "your good friend" who is on vacation overseas somewhere... and lost their wallet in a taxi cab and needs you to send money!  Right... I'll jump on that right away!  Get real!

A senior citizen called us to look into a call they received from 347-515-6003 - James Harris, claiming he was from the Dept. of Treasury and threatened legal action.

Indian man called. He said he was with the IRS & I was being sued. Then he demanded my lawyer information. At this point I told him NO I'M NOT! and hung up the phone.

Received a call yesterday from James Harris of the U.S Treasury Dept claiming I ignored letters from the IRS and I needed to provide my attorneys information.  He had my address. He tried to give me a number to call the IRS(no doubt it was bogus) and I told him I know how to contact them and I ended the call. I tried calling back but no answer. It is a cell phone number originating from Bronx, NY. 😑

I just received a call from this number an Indian hit name Dennis stating th
at he was from the Treasury dept. I hung up on him. Then he called back and I hung up again. This is definately a scam. So many going around now. IT'S TAX TIME.! I don't scare that easily. The treasury dept would send a letter.

This Morning I received a call from "Annie Johnson" Dept of US Treasure, so he said. Threatened me with going to jail if I didn't give my Attorneys info. Supposedly Tax issues.
 I asked for the call back number and when I did call back, I asked "Whom I was speaking to", and they hung up.

I have recieved SEVERAL calls from same so called Dept. Of Treasury, I have not answered as of yet, however, they keep leaving nasty threats on my voicemail (which I save). I believe I'm going to answer next time, record their idle threats and have my own law suit, only difference is (mine will be legit).

Good luck with that law suite.  There's just one little tiny problem with that.. Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.

I received a message on my phone tell me I was to call this number back, it was important and that I had better have me or my attorney call right away so that I could take care of this matter immediately..... HAHA....could hardly understand his foreign accent.  I owe no taxes as I am on a fixed income from social security.  PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.
