John Edwards (with an Indian or Pakistani accent) from "Dept of Legal Affairs" about an enforcement action against me. Clearly a scam.

Indian accent, said they were with the Treasury Department, Badge #xxxxx and that there was a warrant out for my arrest.  I haven't even had a parking ticket in my life!  Clearly a scam, when I hung up on them they actually called me back.

My call was a recording white sounding male, from a different number 347-809-6326 telling me to call 347-584-4578 regarding the Attorney General's Office...They probably do not even know the Attorney General, and I must call them back right away regarding a legal action.

Indian or Pakistani from "department of legal affairs" became any when I asked his name and hung up on me. Very clearly a scam.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Sounded like an Indian man saying my husband has had legal action brought against him by the us treasury. When I pressed him for more info he wouldn't talk anymore and hung up on him

This caller left a message stating that his name is James Smith, with an Indian accent, from "Dept of Legal Affairs" about an enforcement action against me and that I take it very seriously.  Tried returning call to tell them to "F" off but of course it is busy.   I guess they assume we americans are dumb.  SCAM!!!

I got a call from this number and called back.  He knew my name and my husbands.  Said I had evaded taxes for 2011!  When I told him my husband was a lawyer and I needed more details so her could help me he got frustrated.  I told him I haven't worked in over 10 years so he then hung up on me!  He had a heavy indian accent and was hard to understand.

(347) 584-4578 called- legal affairs??? Thick accent -- will it respond.

Repeatedly called my home number and told my wife their was warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion.  When I called them back and asked for details and accused him that it was a scam, he immediately hung up.

My husband receved call from Office Michael Jones that there was a warrant out for my arrest.  I googled this number &  decided NOT to return the call after reading all these posts.

Called 1/4/2016 at 6:38 PM. The Caller ID showed no number, but the recorded message claiming I had "trouble with my account" said to call this number. (I didn't.)

They phoned and told me to phone them back in regards to a legal matter that could end up as jail time. When you phone them back and question them, they are looking for $$$. hahaha I am broke, good luck with that one. than they hang up when you tell them you phoned the Attorney General and they don't phone people for this. LOL.

When is the government going to start clamping down on these guys and their illegal phone calls.    we have police ready to hand out a ticket for going 5 miles over the speed limit but no one can do a thing about this scum as they prey on the old and less fortunate.  I would love to see one time our Police or even FBI arrest these pieces of [***] for what they are doing.

I received a call from "Mark Johnson" from the Department of Legal Affairs for the U.S. Treasury.  He said there was a Law Enforcement Action against me and that I should take it seriously.  That I should actually retain an attorney and call the number.  He then blessed God which is total blasphemy and a disgusting thing to say when he is obviously a scammer.

Had a missed call from the number. No message. Decided not to call back after google search..

Said something about 75% off and I'd stayed with them before. Hung up on them.

Called my cell. While it was ringing, checked this site, saw the long list of complaints and scary stuff, blocked number.

Same thing just happened to me, I just hung up on her...lol
