Lady called with very broken English said it was Lisa Davis from US treasury dept.  with a tax evasion notice CP503.  Transferred me to the supposed Officer for my case.  He said there had been 3 prior notices sent to me through the mail at my home address.  He messed up my address each time with mistakes to the street address and leaving out the state I live in.  When I asked three times what state he has been sending them to he got frustrated and said I already said it.  Which he did not.  Only got it right when I explained he has only said the town and zip code.  His English was very broken also.  My husband got on the phone told them to beat it we were not stupid enough to fall for this scam he hung up immediately.  Also told me that a warrant was issued for my arrest and an officer would come and arrest me at my home I said okay fine.  No one has showed up to arrest me yet.  Please do not fall for this scam.  I always pay my taxes.

Male with foreign accent left a threatening message on our home voice mail about a legal mess and Dept of Legal Affairs.  Mentioned a name that sounded like my daughter's but was difficult to understand.  Said to call back immediately then ended the call very pleasantly,

I also got a similar call from someone with a strong accent. He was clearly reading from some sort of script and I don't think he understood English very well because he wasn't even pausing while he was reading...it was just one long sentence and then he abruptly hung up.

I hung up partway through the first call because I didn't have time to find the pencil that he demanded I find immediately. On the second call (moments later), the mumbly caller left a message saying he didn't appreciate being hung up on, and that I needed to get a lawyer because the IRS was going to come to my home at [my address] and arrest me "for six to seven months." Can't really imagine how that would work. I'm supposed to call him back RIGHT AWAY and NOT hang up on him. I hope he's not waiting by the phone.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Omg this is so wrong these people scare the hell out of my dad today telling him the officers are on their way to arrest him for criminal records found on his 2012 tax.  That is so wrong and tell him he had to buy a validation card to put $4,800 on it.

Man with heavy accent calling himself Austin Howe left message on my answering machine. Had to listen to the message 5 times to decipher it. He claimed to be from the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury. Said there was a "law enforcement action against your earnings." I got a similar call from a different phone number (but same area code) a few months ago for my daughter. I did report that call to the IRS and will report this call as a scam as well.

Call from a "Lisa Davis" claiming she was from "Department of Taxation".  As there is no such department (other than Dept. of REVENUE and Taxation) in our government, I knew it was total BS from the start.  I listened to her broken English BS for a minute before I called her out.  SHe was not happy and threatened me with arrest.  I laughed.

Received a phone message this morning while in my shower. 1.5.16.... received a call from a Lisa Davis with legal affairs stating I must call her back immediately they are taking legal action and I must have an attorney on the phone at the time I return the call. Very difficult to understand, total scam! She also stated that they would be putting together a warrant for my arrest so I will just wait until they show up.
