This is another organized scam out of Canada using a lawer office and attack on a family members facebook account. The scam works with a phone call stating your loved one is has been arrested because of an alcohol related car crash. Please call the attorney office and go buy preloadeded  money cards. The bad people will then ask you for the number on the back of the cards and cash them in Canada. This is a scam please call the Calgary Police 403-428-8386 organized crime Unit  and report it.

We spoke to Calgary PD, not the appropriate place to call.  Contact your local Police Agency first.

    Thanks

I am an attorney, someone called a client of mine claiming to be her grandson, claimed they needed $4500 to keep him out of jail on a DUI charge and keep it off his record.  Wanted my client to purchase prepaid credit cards at $500 apiece and then send the information to this #.

I called the # and it's obviously a fake law firm, and as an attorney I am certain that no jurisdiction will let you purchase your way out of a DUI charge and record.  I left a message for these guys, hoping they call my office, if they do I'll use whatever information I can get to supplement my client's police report.

Grandparents of a young man got a call saying he'd been in a DUI car accident and to go to the grocery store and buy prepaid cards to get him out of jail and pay for damages to a rental car.  Complete scam.  When you call the number back it's a fake voicemail for a law office for fake lawyers with names not in the bar association directory.  Be smart, call 911 when you get a call like this.  Clearly a scam.

Knot Going To Fall For This
These scammers just called my in-laws and pretended to be my son and said that he had been in a DUI accident and that he was in jail. He said that State Farm was going to send a check on Monday but he needed the money today Friday 2/20/15. They then put someone pretending to be an attorney on the line named Erin Chase and he requested $3000 dollars from them. He tried to get their credit card info but thank god they new better. They told them to get the number and call back 1-403-689-8131 and ask for his secretary named Carol. I am not sure how they had my sons name and his affiliation with my in-laws phone number.
