    Don't get into a conversation with them even if you happen to have outstanding debt. Block them or don't answer.

    They are junk debt collectors who call people randomly, whether or not they have outstanding debt and owe a creditor money, just looking for additional personal information to use against you or to sell. They are not legitimate debt collectors.

    I got a call from this company,the woman on the had called my cell phone and ask for me.  I wouldn't answer her. I asked who who she was; she said, "Kate". I said: "Where are you calling from?". She said: "Nevada". I said: "No, what company?". She hung up. I had signed up on the " Do Not Call Registration" and I am still getting calls from different companies. What's with that?

    The Do Not Call Registry is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.  It is NOT a call blocking service.

    The DNC list can help stop calls originating from legitimate, registered telemarketers who have paid to subscribe to the list.
    • Your calls were not from legitimate, registered telemarketers.
    • Therefore, the DNC list cannot stop those calls.

    The DNC list does not automatically block calls. It is NOT a call blocker! Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to telemarketers who registered their businesses with the FCC, and who pay a fee for the list.  The DNC list administration is supported by these fees.

    The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and some companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors and certain nonprofit organizations, but these organizations usually have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

    The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those telescum are not registered, do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
    It can stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and spamming telemarketers!

    If a caller does not leave a message, the call is NOT a violation of the DNC rules!

    The DNC itself has no enforcement authority - they forward complaints to the appropriate agency.

    There is no significant drain on your tax dollar because the DNC is funded by the fees they charge registrants.

    They kept calling every day and had my correct name but weren't making any sense, something about an old debt.

    So I told them the truth that I paid off the debt that I think they are possibly calling about ( like 2 yrs ago) and they hung up. Very bizarre.

    These people are crooks who should be behind bars. Or maybe they are and are calling from a prison. If they were legitimate they'd know I settled the outstanding debt 3 yrs ago. Since they don't have my cell # and the calls come in on a landline phone that I rarely use and the ringer is turned off, I just ignore them.

    They call my GOOGLE VOICE # 4 times a day but never leave a message.  I only use this # when filling out surveys and such so it has never been associated with any of my accounts.
