This guy called and offered to do a free estimate for work to our home. I told him I am a licensed general contractor and I do all of my own work and I get materials at a discount as well. He still wanted to "do an estimate" saying "but, it's free!". I said, "Why the hell would I hire and pay somebody I don't even know to do work I already know how to do and can do better and for less money?". They have continually called  our home nearly everyday and have started asking for my wife. She will not answer the phone and she already has her contractor husband to do her work for free, so these guys aresimply driving a square wheeled cart through the mud apparently wondering why they get nowhere.

The definition of insanity is " Trying the same thing (calling us) over and over and expecting a different result". Not gonna happen.....EVER.

Some cry baby called from this number. This little "Mr. Wet My Pants" was upset over our improvised methodology of answering these obvious fraudulent phone spoofed numbers (187-XXX, yeh, right Deblert Dipstick) that he began to wet his poopy little diapers all over the place. What a moron. Keep on calling you freaks...it will get you nothing but ridicule.

Yet another call from this number. The lady said she represented a company listed on Angie's List. I asked for a California Licensed Contractor number, and got no answer. Then I asked which company she represented, and she hung up.

This number called and it is already on my blocked list and it rang once and call blocked. This number is funny and wrong as it has 1 where a normal phone will not have 1 as no number starts with 1.

I had to answer this because my grandmother was sleeping and the ring was disturbing. Three calls in one day and over 15 in a week. A contractor. I told him I am a renter and he was polite and hung up, but the calls continue. What does it take? Next time I will answer and hang up right away, just to stop the ring.

Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.

Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocking device, service or app.
    Then, use it correctly.

Google "call blocker" for more information, or visit Amazon or similar sales site.

If you cannot use or afford to buy such a tool, then:

    • Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service

    • Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.

    • If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

    • Another option, for both smart and "dumb" cell phones:  Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers.  That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact!  You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number!  (This is also called "whitelisting").

If you want to report potential fraudulent or scam calls, here are two pages of links to (mostly government) sites in Canada and the USA were you can report those scams, or learn more about them.

    Look here first:

If the reporting site you wanted is not in the above list, try this one:
