Caller ID says this is "Backbone Community" received a call before 8AM, ignored it so they called a second time and left a message saying "this message is for..." and then disconnected the call.

I got a call from this same number but it was the San Francisco office of the TekSystems employment agency and it was about a job I applied for through their agency.

Same pattern. Called ones, I didn't answer.  Then they called back after few seconds.  The never left a message.  I called back latter on, ansewr machine just saying. "Please dial the extention you want to reach".. weird...

Called and left a short message. They have a job opening at Microsoft that I might be a good fit for.

Called and left a message: Populus Group, who appears to be another IT Staffing company like TekSystems.  I have no idea if the two companies are affiliated.

Texted me saying "Alexis Ayres: for you videokiks.com/i/alec-s-8" I'm afraid to click the link, but it has my name it is so I'm tempted

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

I got the same text. With my name and my job.

Received text from this number, with my name and personal information. I dont know how they could gotten that.

I got one too, but with my name did you click the link or find out anything about it

Called and did not leave a message. Ever since I started using my cell for Comcast I have been getting these calls.
