Recorded message saying it's "Alison from Carpet Cleaning Specialists". Hitting one gets a woman asking for info and when you tell her to remove your number from the list, she gets all bitchy and says she will and hangs up immediately.

Automated call for STRIPE Carpet Cleaning. Dialed "1" to set up appt. When female answered line, I said take me off your list right now! This call was made at 9:28 AM Pacific Time. Woke us all up !!!

This is the 4th call like this we have received even after selecting offered "remove from list press number ? (can't remember the number).

Call them back at 888-279-6050. Google that number for more info.

Didn't bother answering.  I thought 555 numbers were not real numbers, which is why they use them on television and movies, etc.

Carpet Cleaning Specialists, press "1" to talk, ask to be removed and person hung up.

"8" to remove does not work.

I also pressed "1" and asked what company it is. The woman said "Best Carpet". I said "do you know that I'm on the 'Do Not Call list'" and she hung up without saying a word.

Got a call from this number.  Punch one and asked the person for the name of the company.  They hung up on me.  Someone needs to enforce the donot call list.

pressed 1 and ask them to not call again they just hang up.  I thought we had do not call laws in this state now.

Same as everyone else. Pressed 1 to find out who it was offering the carpet cleaning.  She asked zip code and came up "four in your area" closest being Best Carpet on Broadway.  When I asked for the others because I wanted to check on them beforing hiring them, she promptly hung up.  I am on do not call list so will report them and urge everyone else to as well.

Received a call from Alison Carpet Specialist.  Apparently 415 555 1000.  Pushed 8 to be removed and the phone went dead.  I have been called before by these idiots and have advised that we are on the no call list.  They simply hung up.  I know that these calls are violations of the no call list and are apparently punishable by a $1000.00 fine for each call.  If a class action attorney reads this file suit against these [***] please.

I too experienced the same issues everyone else is describing.  I called 888-279-6050 which was answered by a woman saying something that sounded like "Buzz Carpet", though I now know it to be "Best Carpet".  When I asked her to clarify the name of the company she responded by asking if there was something she could help me with.  I repeated my question, she repeated her response, I repeated my question again and she hung up.

I have received several calls over the past few days.

A recorded message from a "local carpet cleaning company." It said "press 1 to schedule your appointment; press 8 to be removed from our list." I am already on the DNC list. Pressed 8 and was just disconnected.

Calls on 8/4/2007 and 8/9/2007 still on CallerID. At least 6 calls prior to that. Filed complaints with both www.donotcall.gov and the FCC.

Should have mentioned that I have waited and pressed 8 to supposedly be removed every other time. This time I pressed 1 to "schedule and appointment". A woman answered Best Carpets. Before I finished my sentence, "Why are you calling my number on the do not call list?" she hung up on me.
