- Nick ArnettI've gotten at least a half-dozen calls from this company... First the recording plays, then I talk to a person who says they are from "Best Carpet" and hang up if I try to get more information.

- Celeste in San JoseCalls:
08/03/07 3:50pm PDT Didnt pick up because of the 555 prefix.
08/07/07 4:52pm PDT Picked up to press 8. Was immediately disconnected.
08/10/07 6:38pm PDT Picked up and pressed 1 to inquire as to what business
this was and how they had a record of a "prior business relationship". Phone was answered by a woman saying "Best Carpets"; no personal name given. She asked when I wanted to schedule my appointment. I asked what the prior business relationship was. She snorted and hung up on me.
Sounds pretty much just like the typical experience.- Caller: Allison with Best Carpets

- Julie (SF)We are also on the DNC, and I have contacted San Mateo county DA's office about these same telemarketers. They switch their Caller ID phone numbers, and when you ask to be removed, you never are. Next, when you press 1 "to set an appointment," they will hang up on you if you ask them to be removed.

Alison from Carpet Cleaning Specialists 415-555-1000 - antonioSame as many others listed, received unsolicited call from Allison carpet cleaning despite my being on the DNC. Is anyone in government trying to stop this nuisance?
- Bill in ConcordI have gotten these calls several times in the past few weeks, even after I press "2" to have my # removed. I have two phone lines and they both ring at the same time. Must be a fast speed dialer at work!
Recorded message from "Allison"- Call type: Telemarketer
- KC (east bay)| 1 replyThey have been calling my DNC number for months. They used to display a legitimate looking number which I reported to DNC every time. Now they display a clearly bogus number on CID.
This may not be strictly a Bay Area problem. I stumbled across an L.A. number (213)221-1021 that has been reported to this site and the M.O. sounds similar -- recorded message, Best Carpet Cleaning, hung up on if more info is requested.
At this point, I think this may be more of a phishing scam to get credit card or other personal info from their "customers". I tend to doubt there is any sort of company on the other end. Certainly not a legitimate one.- Caller: Allison from Carpet Cleaning Specialists
