- Sandpile| 2 repliesThis is an Arizona number that refuses to listen to take me off the list and has called me over a dozen times in three months. They are doing some BS energy conservation home owners crap in AZ and Im not in Arizona. I've tried to be nice but all I ever get is hung up on. I have no less than four times asked to be removed, I know it won't happen but, I tried. l have had to add call block and now they are calling from a second number!

- Sick of these calls! replies to Sandpile| 1 replyThey refuse to listen to me to take me off their list. They have called repeatedly over the last 6 months and now they talk right over me or hang up on me when I say, "I'm not interested, please take me off your list." They call from different numbers each time, always from the 480 exchange.
I've tried to be nice, I've gotten frustrated with them, and now I just hang up. My heart goes out to the folks that do this thankless job and I'm sick of these calls, the time it takes and the frustration and stress they cause me. No matter what I say, they talk over me and won't take no for answer. Do they really get business from this?
I was creating complaints on DoNotCall.com, but don't have time any more to do this and I'm certain the complaints go no where anyway.
HOW DO WE STOP THIS? - Slim replies to Sick of these calls!Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.
Google "call blocker" for more information, or visit Amazon or similar sales site.
If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/josephsteinberg/2 ... des-its-a-scam/
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.
* Another option, for both smart and "dumb" cell phones: Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers. That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact! You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number!
If you want to report potential fraudulent or scam calls, here are two pages of links to (mostly government) sites in Canada and the USA were you can report those scams, or learn more about them.

√ - CheriThese people call me all the time. I tell them to take me off the list. Today I finally listen and took the survey, the lady transferred me to the "scheduling supervisor". Asked me a bunch of questions and said all the people at the house will be home. I said my husband may or may not be home. "can you tell him to be home". I said no if his works needs him in the field I cannot tell him to be home. She then proceeded to say "well you don't want to know that bad" and hung up on me. I tried to call back so I could call her a b****, but the number went straight to a VM that hasn't been set up.

- I hate go green!Yeah I took the survey one time ... thinking it was a political survey related to new legislation for solar. The survey was confusing and the answers were directed to make you say things "they" wanted you to say. Lots of double-talk questions! Now they just keep harassing me and I keep reporting them. Now they're switching numbers up. Basically if someone doesn't leave a message, I don't call back. Here's a list of the numbers they've called me from:
602-888-4983
480-469-9530
480-524-3957
623-850-1745
480-290-6349 - AZBenI too have been receiving almost weekly calls from the "Go Green Initiative" or the "Energy Incentive Program" and I created a strategy -- answer all their questions every single time to see if they will give me a follow-up call or other contact info. It finally happened. After several time getting to the supervisor level, only to be told I didn't make the cut (meet the qualifications). This last time I said: Yes APS customer, Yes homeowner, Yes total electric, No foreclosure or loan modify or selling house, and then I told the TRUTH about my electric bill. I told them I pay 9.35 per month for electricity and receive back almost $250 in credits for surplus solar cogeneration. The caller still put me through to the supervisor to qualify. The supervisor said "Is your highest monthly electric bill $128?" and I said "no". She then asked "What's the highest electric bill you've had since you moved into the house in 2011?" Well that would include before I got the solar panels, so I answered "The highest was $470." So then she set up an appointment and asked if I lived alone. Well I don't but the truth is I won't ask my wife to sit in for some idiotic sales presentation. So I said "Just me." The very next day on Thursday, January 15, I met with a representative of the calling company. And I asked for his card. I also asked if he was directly involved with the marketing company. He said "yes, they work for us". So now I'm sharing that information.

I don't really feel sorry for Buck and I hope some lawyer soon has him in court to make him disclose the location and contact information for that boiler room I hear whenever they call me.
I also hope they took my name off the list since I got all the way through the qualification process since they obviously have no use for the DO NOT CALL list which I am on.
