Recently began calling weekly. Never leaves message.

Recorded voice, wanted to talk about Medi-Care Part B prescription??

I suspect these may be part of the same scam organization that stuck my number in their auto-dialer over eleven months ago and has been harassing me ever since.  More detail and numbers that have been bombarding me with calls are listed in my posts here:

I got a call today from 480-331-2047. I have caller ID so I did not pick up.  But Within 2 hours I've gotten 3 telemarketing calls (here in Arizona). I never had this problem in NYC where I had an unlisted number.

Call claims to be from a non-profit organization trying to help seniors with lowering interest rates/mortgage payments/etc.  Google search reveals they claim to be the Seniors Personal Assistance Corporation.  I smell a scam preying on seniors.

Received at 9am. I do not answer any call that I do not recognize

My husband answered. No response. Caller ID shows SPAC

Have been receiving these call for a few weeks now.  I don't answer call from numbers I don't recognize.  Today I answered and the lady on the other end asked to speak to my name (So they do know your name) and I said speaking and she started talking about Medicare.  I hung up.  We are on the do not call list but a lot of good that does.

Received a call from this place continuously, and nothing is said, so in doing some research I found the following,

This number calls sometimes three to four times a day.   I don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize.
Never leaves a message.     A lot a good the Do Not Call Service does.

I'm curious,  just what is it that you are expecting the DNC Registry to be doing for you?   Over 500 million telephones in the US,   1 billion  500 million+/-  calls made and received each day.  How in the world would it be realistically possible for anything,  including a mega super computer,   to be able to monitor and screen each and every individual call made and received each day by every individual?   How would anyone or anything know exactly what phone calls each and every person would be willing to accept or reject, on each and every call made,   and then make that decision for them in 1/10 of a heartbeat?

You're right,  the Do Not Call Service will not do you any good.  You need to go to the FTC/DNC site and read about what it actually does do and then consider a call blocking unit for your telephone.

Thank you so much for your research!  She was shocked that I had her cell number and I had to ask if she was the Seniors Personal Assistance Corp.  She said she was the director.  I asked her to remove my number from her calling list.  She asked me where I had acquired her number.  I suggest everyone call her continually just to help her understand why we don't like unsolicited sales calls!

Kevin and lala above are exactly right.  Note that it's now several months later, but the behavior of this scammer hasn't changed at all.  Can't these people get a real life?  Apparently not....

I have been receiving all sorts of unwanted calls despite the fact that I have an unlisted number. For some "stupid" reason I have kept my unlisted number for years and have to pay monthly for the service. It doesn't do much good though because every company sells your information to a third and forth party and now everybody in the world has all your information.

Anyway the guy on the phone left a message "First Call" - at least he was honest about his intent to harass me.

480-331-2047 called. Something about assistance paying a medical bill.

If you use the Cleveland Clinic, they will [***] out your number to a variety of non related companies.

If I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up. Let the call go to voice mail That will make then waste THEIR TIME a little more so they can't bug somebody else.
