Got a call back from this number after responding to a newspaper ad and calling 210-209-9257.  I did a little research on Cynthia Kerr, who sent this and got a whole slew of other scams related to her, exactly like this.

          Hi ,

Thank you for showing interest in my 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class 500!
The general condition of the car is excellent, very well maintained, no damages, no mechanical problems and no electrical issues. It has a clear title free of any liens or loans and a clean carfax, free of accidents. The mileage is 23,400 and the price is $17,300.
Because of my divorce settlement, i own this car and as a woman without driver`s license i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible.
I just got a new job and moved so get back with me to organize this sale.

    Thank You

This scam artist has the Ford F150 Raptor listed again...same phone numbers, same return email.  The VIN comes up on Ebay for the same truck in Georgia, only this one has a believable price ($42,000), compared with the "Cynthia Kerr's" $17,800.  Honestly...I don't believe either one.  The ebay listing is from a seller with zero transactions.  Buy local!

I'm getting the same e-mail message from "Cynthia" as well for a 2008 Shelby GT500 listed for about $20,000 under KBB.  E-mail reads as follows...

"Thank you for showing interest in my 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 ?!
The general condition of the car is excellent, very well maintained, no damages, no mechanical problems and no electrical issues. It has a clear title free of any liens or loans and a clean carfax, free of accidents. The mileage is 2,970 and the price is $24,111.

    2nd e-mail--

Hello Brian, first please let me explain you the process of this transaction,
As I told you in my first email, i divorced, i got a new job and moved to Omaha Nebraska. Before leaving I had prearranged the deal with PayPal so my presence isn't necessary. The car is located in Omaha, at the shipping company, ready to be delivered. The car will arrive at your address in 3-5 working days. The shipping cost is included in the total price of the car! You will have 5 days to test it and inspect the car prior to make any purchase. So if you want to make this deal I need the following details from you:
    full name and address
    phone #
After I will have all this details I will forward them to PayPal and I will proceed this transaction. PayPal will contact you with all the details that you need to complete this deal and also to see that i am covered by them and that I am legit seller. Waiting your email with the requested details.

    3rd e-mail--

Yes Brian, here is the vin SALSK2D4XBA274663 please let me know if you need anything else

I'm glad I googled "Cynthia Kerr car selling scam". I had responded to he 2011 Corvette ad for $18,999. In my email back to her I pretty much begged her not to sell it before I could get to Illinois this Saturday to buy it but justy as soon as I sent that email, I started thinking could this be a scam. The old adage, If it sounds too good to be true...

I encountered the same fraud looking for a Mercedes (in Chicago) and now a Yukon Denali (in Michigan & Ohio).  Do they really think someone is that stupid!  I have been on the hunt and reporting all the ads I find like this one. I hate that there are people out there that prey on others.  They can go to you know where and rot slowly for being such awful people!  Hope this helps someone! If its too good to be true, you know the rest.

    Beware!!!
Glad I found this post.  Have a similar story.  2008 Toyota Sequoia Limited on cars.com with 34K miles going for $20,500 (kbb appraises for around $37k).  Sounded too good to be true.  First e-mail stated the same story as others here almost verbatim.  Same name, Cynthia Kerr.  Don't really care to find out how the rest of this scam works which probably involves sending money to somewhere and not getting the vehicle somehow. :)

Yet another way people are trying to scam others.  There has to be a way to caught these crooks.

This woman even sends you fake Paypal payment protection confirmation. I forwarded this email she sent me to spoof@paypal.com and of course they alerted me that this was a phishing attempt. I hope someone catches this crook. She needs to go to jail. And her accomplices at their fake customer service center. If you call their "customer" service number, 1-877-660-0734 the same foreigner Robert answers everyday all day. These people are insane.

I got the same exact message referring to a 2010 BMW M3.  The car is listed on cars.com for $24,450 with only 10,930 miles.  I knew something fishy was going on.  I emailed a Jason Olsen and got a response back from her.

    Hi Grigory,
Thank you for showing interest in my 2010 Nissan Maxima!
The general condition of the car is excellent, very well maintained, no damages, no mechanical problems and no electrical issues. It has a clear title free of any liens or loans and a clean carfax, free of accidents. The mileage is 26,371 and the price is $15,200.
Because of my divorce settlement, i own this car and as a woman without driver`s license i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible.
I just got a new job and moved so get back with me to organize this sale.

    Thank You!
    Hi Maxim,
Great! I will forward your info to PayPal right away and they will send you an invoice with all the instructions on how to purchase my car. You will have to deposit the money with PayPal, they will hold your payment until you get the car and you inspect it for 5 days. If by any reason you don't like it you can immediately send it back on my cost and PayPal will send all your money back. Once i get PayPal's confirmation that the payment has been sent i will begin the shipping process right away.

This gal, Cynthia should be tracked down as I knew her latest car deal was too good to be true. BEWARE of her ads on autos! A 2008 S 63 AMG at that price and the cletia of a divorced non licensed driver is a real scam.

Got the same messages from her. Must be some sort of semi automated process for them. I sent her this in response

    "Hello,

I am very interested in your car. Unfortunately I am only able to pay in US certified treasury bonds, which are paid in 50 000 denominations. I will pay 20 000 for this car (4000 above your asking price), but first you must send me 30 000 as a security deposit. Once I have this money in my possession I will send the remainder and you can send me the car. I have mailing addresses in Nigeria and Kazakhstan, where would be more convenient for you?"

If you do a google search on the VIN #s that she sends you, they are usually stolen from legit auctions that happened recently. The one I was asking about was a $16 000 porsche. I threw the VIN into google and it was from an auction that just ended where the car sold for 46 grand.

cynthia kerr send you an 2 emails that appear to be from PayPal. They look far more real than a real PayPay contract.  They try to get your bank account information.  WATCH OUT!  I have notified Cars. Com several times and have notified PayPal several times and they continue to do nothing!
    What a crook!

    Cynthia,

I want to take delivery on the new black Cadilac as soon a possible while home from assignment in Lybia.  As part of a Special Operations Team I can use our Gulfstream jet to come and get the car tomorrow.  Lets do a cask transaction and I will up your asking price for the 2010Cadilac from $27,000 to an even $30,000. Please prove me a time to meet you with the car at the bank of your choice. I need to wrap this up quick as I am summoned to duty in Afghanistan then back to Lybia. A red Corvette would be a GREAT way to celebrate returning home to America safely after each mission. Hey, babe if there is a casino near your city would you want to join me and my buddies to see how to double your money in a day? If this is a scam we will hunt you down like Bin Laden and you will never know the hour!
