Pretend that it is from IRS

My answering machine picked up, and the caller left a message, "This call is to inform you that you are being sued by the IRS..." -- or words to that effect.

I received a call from this number on my answering service saying that that you are  being sued  by the IRS.  Then the person called back a second time, telling me to call this number.

I am trying to use up some time I have left on a go phone so I called this no but only got a message being unable to reach the party at this time. I hope they try to call my cell no back because I don't have any voice mail but will be able to see the missed calls.

Left a msg yesterday. Saying that the IRS filed a lawsuit against me. Wanted me to call them ASAP at 509-779-2193

Called stating that it was the IRS and I was being sued.  SCAM!!!!!

Two calls left on recorder in one day; said it was IRS filing lawsuit against us; caller ID showed Washington call; when I returned call got a recording "the call could not be completed"

I have gotten two phone calls and one voicemail today 12/16/15.
The voicemail said this is a message to let you know the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. When you try and call back all you get is a busy signal. That got my heart pumping after hearing that message, but every site is saying this is a SCAM! Let's hope!

This is clearly a scam the irs would have to inform you by official documentation and not just a phone call

Got 2 messages last on my voice mail on 12/16/15 and returned the call to this number. Foreigner whom I could not understand or hardly hear said he was with the IRS and his name was Jason Parker and gave me his badge number and a case number and informed me I had frauded the IRS and that my matter could be settled in or out of court. It was my decision. I adamantly asked for someone who could speak English number 1 and someone who I could hear. Needless to say he got frustrated and rude with me and finally hung up on me.

Received auomated call stating I was being sued by the irs. Called back, got busy signal. Called back later, recording said call cannot be completed as dialed.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
