Received two calls from this number today. Auto dialer on both, one message left:

"Please call immediately on our department number 509-790-0546. I repeat 509-790-0546. Thank you".

I called back and received a busy signal.

According to other sites, it's an IRS scam (but unconfirmed on my end),

I received a phone call stating the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I called back and someone actually picked up. Since I have been dealing with the IRS I thought it was a legitimate call. First of all the IRS has an automated service that you have to navigate through and you'll never get an IRS employee to pick up on the first ring. If you do have someone from the IRS they will state their name and give you their identification number. This person sounded like someone taking an ESL( english as your second language) class. It's an IRS scam( CALLERS BEWARE). I'm pretty sure this is not the IRS.

These people have called my number several times today.  It is a SCAM, they  say they are the IRS and that I am being sued for past due tax bills.

Definitely a SCAM!! They are NOT the IRS. The IRS does not ask for money over the phone and can definitely find you at the right address. Also,  the IRS would not sue you; they'd garnish your wages first. Don't fall for anything from this number!

left message on my phone 4 times Friday, 2/5/16.  Recorded message by female with excellent English.  ID shows Unknown Name.  Had a friend call the number.  My friend told me that after several busy signal calls, they eventually did talk to a male with a thick accent (nicely put by Michael "taking a ESL"), who asked for account number and social number.  I think (hope) most people know that the IRS would NOT call you and would NOT ask for your account information, they have all that information from the minute you are issued a Social Security number.
