HRRG- bill collector on a bill that does not exist

Called me twice telling me i owe them money asked for my information without telling me who they are they ignored everytime i asked them who they are and every time they called they dont leave a message.

Voice Mail from this number requests a call back to 1-800-984-9115 which belongs to HRRG Collections. There are several postings online regarding them. I just erased the voicemail and blocked the number. Haven't had my cell phone number very long so I'm still receiving wrong calls from those trying to contact the previous owner of the number.

Called my cell and left no vm. I called back and t very rude foreign woman said they are Hrrg collections and demanded the last 4 of my social security #. When i told her I'm not giving that to her unless I knew WHY she was calling, she got nasty, said "we have everything on you.. Where you live, where you work, and your full social security number" and then hung up on me. VERY shady...

Get calls from this number asking me to verify last 4 of ss#. I refused and asked who they were and why were they calling. I was told that it was confidential information and if I wouldn't verify my ss# then I had to verify my birthdate. Again I refused and asked who it was & why they were calling. She got VERY rude and said she couldn't tell me. I replied that my info is also CONFIDENTIAL and that I don't know who they are. I asked her if she would verify the last 4 of HER ss#!!! She said she didn't have to, I told her neither do I. She replied that she will put down that I refused to confirm. I quickly responded that she could put down whatever the heck she wanted but I was not giving someone my info that they could use to steal my identity!!! That number is now blocked from my phone!!!

Since they talked to you they cannot deny first contact.  That means you are supposed to get a letter postmarked within the next 5 days.  Read the following and use the links to your advantage.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

They call all the time and do not leave a message. If you want a response leave a message. I am not always home and i surely do not call back numbers to whom i do not know the owner of. Therefore leaving messages is the only way to get a call back from me!! So stop calling if you wont leave one!!!!!! Ugh!

The same thing JUST happened to me 5 minutes ago. I called back because I previously missed the call. She said it had to do with a personal matter and she couldn't say until I gave her my name and birthdate. So I asked her what it was about she said she couldn't tell me and continued to get hateful.

I cannot understand how you looked up a number that began with the area code 636 and you ended up here in a thread about the 513 area code.  However, I have reported your posts for removal at your request.  I hope you repost in the correct thread.
