I received a phone call from 800-984-9115 and let it go to voice mail. I called back without giving my name or phone number and they said that they are looking for someone who I had never heard of.  I told them that I did not know that person and they apologized and said that they will delete my number from their system.

They are a colection agency. There is no doubt that some doctor or hospital simply could not survive on the inflated bill that the insurance has allready paid and is determind to suck every drop of blood I mean money that they can get. Acording to the FTC all you have to do is ask who they want to talk to, and inform them that acording to the FTC (federal trade comission) they have to tell you there name and company name. They do not have to tell you what they want untill you admit who you are. After telling them who you are cut them off from talking and tell them that they have the corect person and you want to know who the original debter is and the amount. Inform them there is no need to attempt to call anyone else ie friends relatives or employer, and that it will now be in violation of the law for them to do so. Tell them that you want no furthe comunication by phone from this point foward and that all further comunication shall be by mail. Tell them that you want a detailed bill of there claim and a phone number and adress that you can file disputes to. Now raddil of your adress real quick but suficiantly and say good day and hang up. Note somewhere the date time and name of the person you talked to and what you told them. If they call back more than one time they are in violation of the law. If the claim is larg enough they may try to colect but if not from that point on they may just drop it. One thing for sure mail is a lot easyer to ignore.Good luck

I think it should be aginst the law to recive more than one bill for treatment. When you take your car to the shop you do not get a bill from every mechanic in the shop. I allso think that it should be aginst the law to ask for money up front at an er. You are not there for a nose job it is an emergency so screw the bill. People dont allways plan for er visits or unforseen medical expenses, that is why we hav insurance.

If you have informed them to have no further tellacomunictaion and that all further contact should be by mail, they must stop. If they continue to call report them to the FTC.

I would say you are one of the scumbaggs and you can go to hell with the rest of them.

I got a call from them saying I owe money to a doctor I saw on a visit to an ER in Miami. They had real information, so I assume they are truly a collection agency or they stole my medical record. As far as I know all bills were paid. I told them I wouldn't pay a thing and they should call my insurance company who has paid all bills I have received from the ER in full. All my bills are covered 100% by my auto-insurance. I had PIP and extended medical coverage.

I told them I'd have my insurance company call them and asked them for billing information so I could pass it on to my insurance.They were very vague and didn't seem to have an account or reference number. I called the ER to talk to the doctor since I had never received any bill or phone call from his staff. I wanted to know why my bill was sent to collections (assuming it, in fact, was). The ER billing person took my information and say they will look into it. I think it may be some sort of attempt at fraud but I'm not sure yet.

If it is legit, I would never deal with a collections agency and prefer to pay the physician directly for his time. He did give me good treatment. BUT I wonder if someone in his billing group is getting "kick backs" by pretending to make failed collection attempts (they never sent any bills) then passing the accounts onto this collection company who then takes a cut of any payments.

While I know some people are unable to pay their bills for many reasons, I feel personally insulted that I was contacted by a collections agency. The person on the phone was rude, didn't give the "mini-miranda," and sounded like a felon. To me these kinds of people are pond scum.

I received a call today from HRRG! I work in customer service so I was discusted to be spoken to in the manner in which I was addressed. The collection agency called me and adv I have an outstanding ER bill. When I adv I have 2 forms of insurance in which these services are def covered I was asked for the ID num. While collecting it I was hung up on. So becuase I know how insurance works because I work for the insurance company I explained how fraudulent it was for them to pursuee me in collections when THEY failed to file my claims correctly. When I tried to call back another rude gentleman answered and adv he cannot tell me who I was prior speaking with as I wished to file a complaint! This is insane! I asked for a manager and the man said no they werent avail. Then I said I explained I was hung up on after asking the rep tp hold a sec to get my correct id num. The man asked how long were you holding... I said approx 10 secs he said "Ha, I highly doubt that!" Thats when I gpt irate and said I want your manager and I'll wait! Then I got hung up on. Called back and got a nice young lady who adv the managers were gone for the day. How do you run a buisness without ANY management present at all????? SO UNPROFESSIONAL!

I receive a call message "this is HRRG We look forward to helping you" at least once a day for six months.  Repeatedly and ay late hours.  They a medical collection agency call center in Plantation Florida.  Division of Teamhealth.com Calls demanding cease and desist brough confrontational questioning.  I owe no medical debts.  One "agent" says "I don't have an account for that number so why would we call you".  Another claims that "I am the one harassing and he will find me and sue".  The others want me to disclose the phone number receiving the calls when it is on his computer screen.  Another admitted the number was present and calls would cease but they did not.  The calls started coming again after a few months.  Calls like the HRRG ones are in violation of federal and state telemarketing and debt collecting statutes.

According to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you can stop the harrassment by sending the agency a certificed letter expessly requesting that they ceasing calling you. If the debt is past the statute of limitations it can not be put on your credit.  I had a company take it off my credit and 2 months later put it back on as brand new.  I reported them, made an attorney general complaint and it was removed and I received a letter of apology from the company.

Calls involved an accident from March 2008 that was paid by my carrier in June 2008. They rebilled $31. several times from May 2008 to Feb 2009. Carrier paid this bill twice to Hospital ER to make it go away and also sent me copies of 2nd check which were mailed to HRRG in April 2009. In Aug 2009 a bill and now phone calls are received daily. I stopped answering and now just listen to their drone messages. It would be nice for them to accept double payments and photo of the last check but I know that won't happen. HRRG is using a Cincinnati, Oh address for their mailings. I will file a complaint with the Ohio AG office.   Thanks for the good information on this site.

I am about to report HRRG to the State Department of Commerce and Insurance for a similarly frustrating experience. I got many phone calls from 800-984-9115 HRRG, but had no idea who that might be so did not answer. I finally decided to answer one day to tell them to take me off of the calling list and learned they were calling about a bill they had supposedly sent to me for ER Physician billing for date of service in Nov 2008. I had never received such a bill and verified they were sending it to the wrong address. They mailed another bill which I received and promptly determined what I owed and what I did not. The interesting thing was that I had never received a bill from either of the ERs- just went straight to this HRRG.

When I received the bill, I called them and explained I owed one and not the other. I paid the one that day. I explained I did not owe the other and asked them to get in touch with whom ever turned it over to them to further research. I asked what account # they used to file and they did not know. I asked to speak to a supervior and they would/could not let me do that. Every person I have spoken to there has been very, very rude (Brenda hung up on me and Ms. Stone told me this would effect my daughter's credit and was being turned over to credit bureau if I did not pay it.) John was the only nice person I spoke with. All others were unprofessional and threatening.

They kept insisting that I call my insurance company but would not give me the information I needed to call them. I finally did call my insurance company and they did agree to call this place and ask that the bill be refiled. That was in April. I thought things were resolved. But NO. I got another notice from them today.

I have contacted many people in an effort to understand who is who and what is what. It appears that the ER physicians in the Knoxville TN area use some group called Team Health to process their billing and the are connected with HRRG. When I was finally able to get through to someone at Team Health in Knoxville, she was very kind and helpful. Problem is I never got a bill from them in the beginning with contact numbers so was forced to work with HRRG, or try to work with them. I have suggested to Team Health that they consider severing their relationship with HRRG. Those people have NO desire to help the consumer solve a problem. They just wanted me to pay $528.00 that I do not owe because it was not filed properly in the first place. And, every time I called them, I had to start from scratch.

I suggest any and all who have had similar experiences with HRRG contact the State Department of Commerce and Insurance in your state.

Medical Billing Collection Agency, have been calling for two months with just a recording, decided to call them back and they were looking for someone else, they supposedly removed my #....we shall see.
