Please do. I don't like it at all. It started on calling my house and told me to talk to James Caston and left his number 561-210-4188 . Then they call me on my cell phone asking my name and I told them no that is not my name and why are you calling me and they say they are from National Affidavit Processing Division (NAPD). And then they say they from IRS.
Okay this is weird. They won't tell me [***] plus they did say I own money in 2014 from not filling my tax return and I told them my family help me file my taxes and I only work in fast food .
After awhile I call back and gave them one question "Are you a scammer" they say yes. So I repeat they question they hang up. Duuu   they are stupit.
They needed to be shut down right now!

Identified himself as James Caston he had an accent and said that he was with the IRS and I was going to prison for 3 years if I could not rectify this over the phone with him. He said I owed $9,075 from my 2012 taxes for tax evasion.  I told him I had not received anything in the mail from the IRS and I asked him what address he had for me.  He gave the address that pulled up from the phone from which I called him back, which wasn't the phone number he called me on to begin with.  I think he realized I was onto him because he sent my case to his supervisor while on the phone and his supervisor said it had gone too far and they could not help me. He said I just needed to be prepared to be arrested.  I told him to tell them to come and get me.

Someone or something called my parents house (in Santa Barbara, CA) threatening legal trouble of some sort.  I answered the call, and it took a long time for (I think it was a recording) to come on the line.  I wasn't listening very carefully, but it was meant to be very distressing and disturbing to someone who is hard of hearing, easily confused, or who might be afraid they had done something wrong.  I wonder who else I can report them to, the FCC since they are calling from the USA?.  My parents are both 87, and I wonder if the predators are using call lists that identify age. They left this number as call back number and also this was the number from which the call was placed.  Now that I'm reporting them, I decided to call back - just got a busy signal.  My parents have no legal or financial troubles, so I'm 100% sure this is a scam.  Don't fall for it.

I went to the FTC webpage complaint assistant but did not rember enough details to file a good complaint.  I'm posting the the link there in hopes that others will file complaints against this very threatening fake caller.  I could not even say if caller was impersonating a government agency or business.

Man with accent says his name is James Caston, from the Treasury Department.  Something about the IRS is bringing a back tax case against us, blah blah blah.  Can hardly understand him.  Definitely another scam posing as the IRS.  Anyone getting call from this number should just hang up.

This is the message I got. What trash...

"Hi. This message is intended to contact you. My name is James Caston and I'm calling an enforcement action executed by the US Treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge, or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 561 210 4188, I repeat 561 210 4188.

According to the other posters this is the IRS extortion scam.  Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Calls originate in India and Pakistan and the callers are hard core scammer/extortionists.

Same exact message as others got from our buddy, James Caston. Ph # was from Princeton NJ 609.423.1135. How about we all tell James we know where he lives and we're coming for him?

"James Caston" may be stupid but he's not quite that dumb. He's making calls because he knows he's in the cozy comforts of his own country like India or Pakistan and can get away with it. See what you hear from him if there's no answer at all when he calls. My guess is it'll be a ringing phone, which does him no good. He at least needs a machine to deliver bogus threats. It's also safe to 'Mr. Caston's' real name and number are unknown.
