I don't have credit card debt.  These calls are annoying and unwanted.  How do you stop them?  I'm already on a no call list.

Operator on this one identified herself as being with Chase Credit card and asked for last four social security, this place is a scam.

ALL of my phone numbers are on both the local DNCas well as Federal DNC lists.  I have repeatedly received a phone call from this number.  What you need to try to do is remain calm.  Wait for someone to come on the line and again remain calm.  Do not in anyway seem angry.  Seem VERY interested.  Try to get as much information as possible:  Name of Company, where are they based, what is their 800 number, where would I be sending in my payment, do you have a website I can look at?,  how would you be commuicating with my CC company to "adjust" my rates., anything and everything (DETAILS), that you find out about the company.  Make up information about yourself:  Income, amount of CC debt, whatever.  REMEMBER THE KEY IS TO KEEP THEM ON THE LINE AND GET AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE AND AT ALL TIMES REMAIN CALM.  If you are not, they can simply hang up on you and you cant call them back...IVE TRIED.  Once you get information on the Company, you can hang up on them and report them to the BBB and see if that helps to stop the calls.   I have worked Telemarketing and know that they are NOT legit, they will want to keep you on the phone to get your TRUE info.  These guys are scammers so they will dodge allot of your questions.  But REMEMBER STAY CALM.  If they get any hint that you are NOT interested or getting upset, THEY WILL HANG UP.

Started getting calls from this number today. They try to get you to divulge your credit card number and other personal data.

No call lists work great for legitimate telemarketers because they check your number against the distributed no call list. Scammers couldn't care less because they intend to break the law to begin with. (Same reason handgun bans don't work, criminals will still carry them) The no call list has eliminated legitimate telemarketers calling my home.

Number has been calling and hanging up. No message.

Received a call from this number today. They say if I want to lower my credit card rates to press 9. I know to lower my rates I would contact the credit card companies myself. But I went along to find out who thought I was stupid enough to give out info. on my credit cards to them. A man answers and ask me if I would like to lower my interest rates I said yes he wants to know which one the Mastercard or Visa I say both he says I need to verify by giving him my phone # I replied use the number you called me on. He then says. F*** Y** mam F*** Y**. and hangs up.

got a call from this number, i dint answer, and they didnt leave a message. I read the posts tho, i know how im gonna answer if they call again, thanks! Name showed up as unavailable. Im in Oklahoma.

This  is a SCAM.do not give out ant info.If it was a credit card company they already have the info they need..Tell them the account was closed the day before the call.maybe they will go tag someone else.

check your long distance phone bills 3  scam numbers are on our long distance phone usage bill from ox cox cable this month november 2010 and we were charged .90 for 6 scam calls that took place in one hour from 3 phone numbers at 3:39 am to 3:45 am that we did not answer.  why are the customers paying for their phone calls anyway?  how long has this been going on without us realizing we were being charged.  We are going to get some answers and stop this BS!

We also got a call from these crooks. It is a scam that, if you give them your card # they will charge it anywhere from 300 to 1000 bucks for an "interest rate reduction kit" I had fun with these fellow from India. About halfway thru his script, I interupted him and asked him "so, what are you wearing today?" He said, "pardon me sir". I told him I was sitting in a dark room eating a hamburger naked. He hung up.

This number is also being suspected of trying to get information via AOL.  The website was absolutely mirror image of AOL and Chase investigation of two attempted charges to our accout, were both caught by Chase Fraud Division.

Looked this number up online. I have just recently started getting calls only after making an online purchase. That is the only time i get these kind of calls. Someone is giving our numbers out i guess.

I have received calls farom this company several times. I have not answered phond. I figued it was a scam,. Please do something with this caller whatever they are. Thanks.

A robocall offered to lower my credit card interest rate if I would press 9.  When I pressed 9, I reached a woman with an Indian accent and told her that I was on the state and federal do not call list.  I asked her to put me on their do not call list.  She argued with me, insisting that I did want to lower my credit card interest rate.  Finally, she asked me to hold.  I held for several minutes and then was disconnected.

Rachell is back. This is a total scam. The tele. #s that show up on Caller ID are spoofed. These are illegal Robo calls. I pressed 9 and no one answerred. When they do answer, just play with them. When they ask how much credit car debt I have, I say, "$10,000,000." When they ask what I do for a living, I say, "I am running for Mr. Obama's job in 2012." When they ask what car I drive, I say, "A Ferrari, a Bentley, and several Rolls." Eventually they hang up. When they speak with an Indian accent, I go into mine. When they speak Spanish, usually from Manilla, I speak Tex-Mex which they don't understand.

You can't win. If they make Robo Calls, subject to a fine of $16,000 per call; they aren't afraid of what you or I can do. So the best remedy is to waste their time.
