My hubby and I were rudely awakened from a deep sleep at 1a.m. by this caller 616-980-2604 last night (11/9/07). We were both startled and thought it was a family emergency initially (that is the only reason we answered it in the first place!). When I picked it up, the recording was ranting about political candidates. I angrily slammed the phone down, but made note of the area code. It took awhile to get back to sleep, wondering what the heck someone was doing calling our (unlisted) telephone number and playing games. We checked our telephone computerized report to capture the number and found this website also. Thank you to the one who posted the information on contacting the FCC. We will do this immediately! This must stop--now!

AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT. A resording and a random played message. This is the 3rd call in about 10 days, at the worst time possible.

the call came in at 422am and was a woman's voice, talking about looking foward to coming into my living room each week. that is when I hung up on it.

I got a call from this number at 4am.  No one there. No message.

FYI....most of the calls from numbers beginning with 616-980 are from a shady telemarketing operation in Grand Rapids, MI. Much of the time, they use unauthorized prerecorded calls.  This is a violation of federal law and you can report them online to the FCC:  https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do

called at 5:30 in the morning with some type of prerecorded message. Caller Ide says it from a company called B DT SvCS.

Recording which sounded like a radio station transmission of/or an audience presentation.

I too got the message from 6169802604 from DBT Svcs.  Some political rant, sounded like a female, but no one I knew off hand.  
Anyone who calls someone at 5:30 am is crazy.  
From reading these posts, I'll be getting more.

Got the call at my work, it was a message...a long message at 5:24am!!! Sounded like Dennis K. at a political rally. Voice was fast forwarded some. Went on forever. How would this help a company or political party any? Doesn't make since. Could be a hacking screwing with something.

I got a call from 616) 980-2604, it was hillary stinking clinton trying to campaign by presenting some idiotic socialistic idea that government can create jobs.  She went on and on for 3.5 minutes until my message machine hung up.

Call came in at 10:30 pm PST. Some pre-recorded rant about the Iraq war.  This came in on a VoIP trunk.

Some woman going on and on. Might have been Hillary. Couldn't really understand what she was saying - sounded political. The call came in on my business cell phone at 10:42 PM California time. After several minutes, I hung up.

Got a call from 616-980-2604 at 12:10am on November 15th.

Same specs here.  I got the call at 12:20 AM EST on 11/15.  From 616-980-2604
D BT SVCS.  For me two rings, pickup, and dial tone.  But one hour after we fell asleep.

Why can't our lovely government step in AND STOP THIS CRAP.

Husband & I were awakened at 3:30 AM!!!  We ARE on a NO-CALL list.  These people should not be calling.  Would like to report them to Dept. of Consumer Protection or Atty. General of Connecticut.

I received a phone call at work 11/15 approx 2:50 and it is a recording about political views. I didnt pay close attention but it mentioned China and NOrtheast Asia and political issues.

I got a call from a company called SRMS INC 616-980-4003 about cutting your credit card payments into half. I had heard about a similar program and started to ask the guy some questions about the company, where they are located, a website etc...He asked me to give him one my credit card numbers over the phone..ha ha was he nuts?

I said no and just as I was to hang up he went crazy with the language, he started calling me " a foreign b****, a c***** , etc"

Just hung up. What a bunch of shady peoplena

Want to get something done about this??? Not only report it by filling out the form on the FCC website!!! But call the FCC 1-888-225-5322 (every time it happens). Most likely the FCC phone recording will say, after a long wait... (that they are receiving alot of calls, please try again later), hang-up your phone and call right back!!! After your 3rd-4th call, they will answer!!! If we all keep doing this, maybe they will get sick of us all calling & and do something about this harassment by these people/company??? Calling us in the middle of the night (AM) is wrong!!! People are thinking these calls are an emergency call, not cool!!! Help stop this harassment...
