    This is a text scammer.  Looks at Craigslist items, asks if they are available, then wants your address to send check or money order.  Also, says they are adding extra $ to the check since you are holding it for them.

    Got a text from +1 (617) 684-5914 regarding something I was selling on Craigslist. Said he needed my full name and address, and that he'll pay by check or money order, and would add $30 to hold it. Googled the # and got this site

    Ashley - They want your address to send a fake money order.  What they normally do is after you agree then they will make the money order for $100 to $500 more and ask for you to send them cash of that $100 to $500 via money gram....Basically they say they don't have change can you send them X amount. Your item will stay and the $100 to $500 is out of your pocket and into there hands.  The money order is fake and would bounce.  Some other of scams are they would send the money order with extra. You will then ship the item if its small enough and the money order would eventually bounce.

    Same here. I posted an ad in Craigslist and got the following msg from that #: "I need your full name and address.Am paying by Money Order or check.I'll add $40 for keeping it in my favor." It's a scam. Don't respond.
