calling repeatedly,early morning,no answer from other end,then they hang up,tried calling back,said line disconnected .has happened numerous times

Just recieved a call and a message was left saying I've been approved for a pay day loan that i applied for.  I haven't applied for any such loan.  I tried calling number back and it's a disconnected number.  Obviously a scam.

I got the exact same message.  I never applied for any loans.  Made me worried if someone else applied for the loan using my info.  Pisses me off!

Obviously a SCAM. I have not applied for ANY payday loans.

These jerks call my cell at least 2x per month.  I always reject the call and then there's the same old thing....Congratulations! You recently applied for a payday loan...NOT! I wish these freaking people quit calling my number with this BS.

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Advance fee loans are illegal period and in some states, so are the payday loans.   Please be aware the scammers may also claim down the road that you have taken a loan and try to extort money from you that way as well!
