I've never bought or sold anything on Ebay...I don't know why they would be calling me if that is the case.

Ask them to send you a copy of the original bill(which they're required to by law). If they cant tell them to get stuffed.

Just got a call recording on my cell phone.    It ended up picking up the message midstream, talking about a "debt collection" and to call 888-229-8848.   Woman recording.  
So, off to the internet to find out...   Though my cell service is free on Sundays!

I keep getting calls and when I say hello they ALWAYS hang up.

same deal as before.   Recorded message coming in in the middle.    I am currently on the line with my cell phone company to block this, and all associated with this a.c and prefix.  Hopefully the annoying calls will cease.

This is some debt collection agency. The ignorant a** that I'm speaking to know said the company did a search online for the number and that is how they called my cell phone. Funny thing is, when I asked her what number was on this so called listing, she said that there was no phone number listed and that it said "Unavailable". Well, how did they get my cell phone number. I've never sold on Ebay, don't even visit the Ebay website. She told me some listings that were on Ebay.

The address she has is one that I have never lived at and the funny thing is, someone listed/created a Ebay account with some name that she can't even tell me. The first letter of the first name is K and the last name was Hardwick. My daughter who is all of 19 months first name starts with a K and her last name Hardwick. However, I know she can't sell on Ebay. Like I said, we don't deal with Ebay at all. She tells me that she suggests I go and look around and see who could have opened this account. She tells me that a K Hardwick opened an account and I'm telling her the only K Hardwick I know is my 19 month old daughter. She then goes into "Well, you need to ask around and see who it was!". I told her that no one I know even deals with crappy a** Ebay. Now I'm on the phone with a supervisor.

This supervisor is telling me that they did a search for K Hardwick and came up with my cell phone number. My cell phone is in my name and I have offered to fax them proof of the cell phone bil which has come in my name every month for the past year. I offered to fax proof of my mortage papers which state my home address, proof of utility bills, etc. Now this b***h is telling me that she can't send me anything even though I'm disputing everything.

IC Systems, INC is a very threatening collection agency. When you see that 651 area code, i would suggest you don't even pick up the phone. I will be filing a complaint against these people.

I am sick and tired of getting these calls. They call and either leave a message which is recorded and do not even identify the person they are looking for or even the name of the company. Most itmes there is no message left. I answered the phone one day and it was an automated message - this is ridiculous and I have never sold anything on eBay. I also do not owe anyone any money.

If a company does not leave their name,then its obviously fraudulent and I would never share any personal info with them.

Got the same call today.  Thanks to all for the postings.  Figured out who it is.  They answered as Cayman Hotels when I called back.

No crap they have called me 10 times in less than a week, I answer and get hung up on. I called them back 3 times and am treated like a redheaded step-child. bay and IC sytem can [***].

I'm getting same calls few times a day. No response from other side after answering the call.

Ebay used to be a really good site to buy and sell on but now it's become more commercial and less "average person" oriented, that's what greed does to people. People can register on ebay under any name with false information and then when they don't pay their bill they try to collect using the information provided. Ebay has become WAY TOO COMMERCIAL the deals aren't there any more.
