Robo call began "Congratulations! You have been selected for a free cruise to the Bahamas!" I hung up.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Received an unwanted call around 10 am.  Answered but heard nothing.  Probably a number harvesting scheme.

Wednesday 26 November 2015 -- 10:38 am -- Called on my cell phone.  Caller ID said "Anaheim CA".  No message was left.  On line complaints say this is an automated caller promising you a vacation if you will take a survey.  Clearly considering spam.

Called and left no message as I didn't answer.  I'm sure it is just another scammer.  If everyone stops answering these calls one would think they would stop.  I never answer a call unless I know who it isl.

"Hi, this is Tim from the customer service department. Can you hear me? <pause> Great!"

Obviously a robocall trying to pretend to be a human. I hung up

got the call about winning a cruise if i took a survey.  It was a recording.  If I feel like it I try to contact a real person and tell me to take me off their list.  On this call toward the end of their message it said press "9" to be taken off their list.  I did that.  Funny thing, last week I got a similar recording from a different number and the message sounded very similar and I pressed the number to be taken off their list.

Telemarketer offering 'free promotion.'  I hung up.

Call came in at 9.20 local time and woke me up. Didn't answer. No message left.
