This number called my phone twice, just said "goodbye" when I answered first time. The second time I declined call

Nuisance Call: I am getting about seven or eight calls a day from an unknown caller.  The following information appears on my caller ID: Vexaros (909) 259-6012.  No one leaves a message, and I tried to block the call, but cannot, since it is obviously coming from a cell phone.  Sometimes the call is directly followed by another one from an "unknown caller."  Would like to know how to get these calls to stop - permanently.

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

I received 8 calls from 'Name Not Found - 1-700-013-6263' today. The first call there was dead air then 'Goodbye'. The next few calls were just dead air. Then there was a woman with an East Indian accent that said she was from Dell Computers. She claimed that my computer was downloading a virus to the internet. That's when I hung up. It's a scam to get access to my computer and rob me blind!! That's disgusting!!!!

This caller called me twice yesterday and 3 times today. He clearly has no friends, hobbies, or job.

Same here...just did a search on line apparently there is an issue with a dell edellroot certificate? I too told the caller I would call myself and report this number as a scam! will call Dell tomorrow

I've received 4 calls from this number today. I haven't answered any of them but no messages were left in my voice mail. I've stopped picking up "unknown name" calls. It's never anyone I would want to speak with.

I have the same computer. I was called last week from "Dell" I granted them full access to my computer because I was in a rush for work. But call went dead before I even got the chance to give them access. They called several times and I told them I didn't inderstand their accent and that there was a lot of feed back in the line. They ended up hanging up and not calling back. This was this past weekend, from a private number. Now it is 1-700-031-6263

They call to make sure your phone number is still valid. That's why there is silence and then goodbye. I almost just answered! Thank goodness I researched the number first.

Area code (700) is a special purpose area code. Started on 01/01/1984. Area code 700 is reserved for Interexchange Carrier Services. If you're getting a call from one, it's spoofed (faked)

I just received a call from this number.  An Indian man told me that he was with Dell technical support and asked if I was aware that my computer was sending a virus to the internet.  I told him I have not even turned my laptop on for 2 months!  Then he asks if anyone has else has access to my computer.  I told him No and hung up!

Got a call from this number today 12/7/15.   Again said they were with Dell and my computer had been sending errors to the internet for months.  She needed to access my computer to remove the virus.  I laughed and said bye and hung up. First time though they called with the exact make of my computer.  Same number

I started getting these calls yesterday....more this morning. They are all from 700 013-6263. There is never anybody there....just silence, then "Goodbye."

I wish I could block these calls. What a pain.

Called at 10:48AM 4/18/2016.

I have Caller I.D., so I didn't recognize the number and didn't answer.

I just let my Voice Mail answer and pick it up, which sends me whatever message is left to my Email in a WAV File – when I checked it there was just silence – no message left.

The con artist scammers are constantly trying their tricks - I suspect the number wasn't even real and was "spoofed" as con artist terrorist scammers WILL do.

What is irritating and scary is that they have my cell number, name, and computer make/model....how do they get that??!
