I've had the same problem with several of these solicitors.  If your cell phone provider has a way to block them, you can do that and it works.  I have Verizon.  I logged on to My Verizon and there is a link on there to Block Messages.  You can block up to 5 calls and it works for 90 days.  Hopefully they will realize they are being blocked and stop calling after the 90 days.  I'm on Do Not Call as well but it does no good at all.  Hope this helps.

Got a call from this number but didn't answer it since it said "Name Unavailable". Called back from a different phone & got a message saying "Thanks for calling back. If you no longer want to receive calls from this company, please press 1." I have a feeling that if you press 1 instead of putting you on the DNC list that your number becomes one of the ones they keep calling back again & again.

Got several calls from this number (and other numbers from the same company) during the last two months, after I re-registered with the national Do Not Call list.  Very annoying.  I don't answer, and they don't leave messages.  When I add their number to my blocked call list, they end up calling from another number.  Horribly annoying.  Wish we could sue this [***].

I'd like to blow a loud whistle or blast a horn into the phone to teach them a lesson.

Why does business think it's OK to harrass like this? I find all of this entirely too demanding and tiring trying to get the FED to enforce the Do Not Call List edicts. IF YOU HAVE A "SMART" PHONE
here's what I have done for SHORT TERM resolution to the matter. After THREE HOURS on the internet researching how to (legally) take matters into my own hands I discovered a Smart Phone Software Application that adds a button to the profile of every number in your personal directory. It comes as an "update" to the Droid operating system, not an "app" all on its own. After updating, there is a button that reads "SEND TO VOICEMAIL?" with the follow-up "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO ENABLE?" to which you just hit OK. Unfortunately, I could not find anything similar for other cellphones.

I do not know who called me from this number

I was called from that number just now (11/14/11 ~5:30p ET). They called themselves "the Energy Discount Center" and professed to be an energy supplier. When I asked them what specific supplier they represented, and was it in the state of Nevada, they feigned confusion. When I said "What I am trying to understand is how you got my number." they hung up on me. The other day, when they called, i had a similar exchange and asked to be added to the do not call list. They claimed a do not call list was not applicable to my number as they had found it in the white pages. What does one DO about this sort of harassment???

I keep getting calls from this # as well.  What I have done in the past with other telemarketers, and will do with these guys the next time they call, is keep them on the phone asking all kinds of questions making it sound like I'm interested.  Eventually they understand that I'm just wasting their time.  These people can't stand wasted time because they are monitered for how many calls per hour made and how many accounts they land.  In the past it has worked better than anything else I've tried... And it's fun to do.  I kept a rep from an auto leasing company on the phone for 30mins irritating the hell out of him before I finally told him that I hit a water buffalo in my lease vehicle and was wondering if I needed flood insurance.  I LOVED IT!
