- SeanWe've received over 30 calls from this number over the past 2 weeks, they sometimes call twice a day. My wife answers and complains to them that you is not interested in their product yet they still keep talking. I received a call an hour ago, they asked if I was (my full name)and when I confirmed, he hung up on me.

- OutOfPatience| 1 replyOK - I'm getting about 5-10 calls a day from these people as well. First question (probably rhetorical): WHERE IS OUR GOVERNMENT? This has been going on for months for many of us. Yet it just continues. The calls are coming from here in CA. Should not be hard to do something about it. I'll be calling the FCC tomorrow, and my congressman after that. Suggest we all do that.
AND I also suggest we play their game... we will win. Talk to the people on the phone as if you are interested. Keep them on the line. Waste their time. And then either hang up on them, or go so far as to schedule an appointment... and then don't show up, or else give a fake address, or something. Since they probably get paid by the business they create (which will be zero) eventually I think they will move on.- Caller: National Renewable Energy Center

- Badge714 replies to OutOfPatienceIllegal telemarketers do not follow the rule of law. The caller ID on your phone call is spoofed (faked). You cannot believe that if a call is from US State "X", that it actually is. If your call is coming from foreign criminals, using voip, high speed internet, & software - forget about it. They are out of the reach of US Justice. Think of your phone the same way you do your car, or house - protect it. Get call blocking.
- anonA1 Solar Power.
The "National Renewable Energy Center" is a telemarketing front for A1 Solar Power, a solar company with several branches throughout California.

- Brian DoughtyWhat is happening is called caller ID spoofing. They used my business number 707-219-8374 to "mask" their number so you cannot find the real culprit of the multiple telemarketing calls. I called FCC and they explained what is happening. This is totally Illegal> If you are getting calls from this number please call FCC and file a complaint. The phone# is 888-225-5322 press 0 or option. use reference # 14T01363836. This needs to be done to try and help the FCC to stop this epidemic. The more information you can give the FCC the faster they can try to resolve it.

- Linda - PetalumaFor several months we have been getting calls from similar numbers identified as Cloverdale (for example 707-219-8373, 707-219-8339, etc.). We generally let the answering machine pick up the call, and it always hangs up upon hearing our announcement. We sometimes answer it by mistake and it nearly always hangs up anyhow. One time recently I picked up intentionally and got Michael Thompson. I let him do his spiel, which mentions "PG&E", but it immediately went into a Solar pitch. He told me they are The National Renewable Energy Center and he was calling from Van Nuys, Ca. He said he wasn't aware that the number came up as Cloverdale. He said he couldn't take our number off the list and gave me (877)592-2995 to contact. I called that number and got voice mail. Left a message asking to be removed from list. Got more calls since then and today called the 877 number again. This time, got "mail box is full". I called FCC number (888)225-5322, press 5 to file complaint. They simply gave me three agencies to contact: (1) the FTC with regards to the scam (their implying they work for PG&E) 877-382-4357; (2) the Consumer Protection for my state 800-952-5225, and (3) www.fcc.gov/complaints. I don't have time to follow up but maybe you do.
