A voice recording, saying that I've won a free trip to Bahamas. They change their number every few days. Previously it was  718-509-3034.

Said he was from customer service. I ask what company. He conitunued that I was a preferred customer. I asked again what Company. He raddled off all you can eat and drink. I repeated WHAT COMPANY?  Hung up on him.

Caller ID says "G. W. Financial." I don't know them. They left no message. It's Saturday morning (not business hours.) Caller blocked.

Unknown.  Calls once a day.

Did not answer.  They did not leave a message - caller id comes up as GW Financial

I get this robocall several times/month - "you have won a free cruise to the Bahamas, etc."; this number ID said G. W. Financial on my caller ID; I believe I have gotten this same recording with different phone numbers. I will be blocking this one too.

How do we stop such scammer calls?

Have you considered obtaining a call blocking device, app, or phone?  Google (or your favorite search engine) IS your friend!
Recognize that the Do Not Call list is NOT a call blocker!

Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:

1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.

2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

3.  If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

3a.  Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc.  That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers!  (Disadvantage: if you forget to whitelist somebody, you won't hear their calls, either)

4.  For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

5.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon or other sites have to offer for landlines or smartphones.

6.  DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live".  Instead, read this:

Called my cell phone. Did not answer

Called my cell am and pm. No voicemail. Blocked.

Answered the phone,  I said hello 5 times, nobody there, finally I hung up. G.W. Financial came up on caller ID. Sounds like a scam.

Sounds like they're spoofing the name of a legit insurance company, although the number is different. You always know it's a scam when there's no area code.

Caller Id of "New York, NY". I am so sick of these good-for-nothings.

Local area code so I almost picked up....robo-call likely, as no voicemail was left....

No one answered at the other end. I hung up. Another Scam.

They call and call, never let a message.
I called back " the call can not be completed at this time, try again later" Ha!
