- A.| 5 repliesGot a call from this number, didn't recognise it so I let it go to voicemail,l as I usually do if I don't recognise and I'm not expecting any unfamiliar calls. VM left was by a guy with a foreign heavy accent, said for me or my attorney to call back soon it was a time sensitive and that if I didn't well then "good luck". Very unprofessional throughout the whole message. Don't believe it's anything other than a scam. I'm not in any trouble otherwise so it doesn't make sense. Haven't called back yet.
- Ashley replies to A.Hey I just got the same voicemail caught me off guard lol and pissed me off how rude was this guy. I'm mean really
- Diana replies to A.I got the same message a few minutes ago. I will not be calling back. I strongly believe this to be a scam.
- TracyI just received a voicemail message, on my work phone, from this number stating the exact same as other posts. He said that his name is "Jake Smith." I believe to be a complete scam!
- John| 1 replyAnswered call from them. Clearly a scam, thick indian accents with an attempt to learn a new accent. Threatened me with a lawsuit. If it was actually a lawsuit they would be required to record the phone call, and would not be able to threaten me with prison,
- TiffanyJust got a can same guy said his name is Greg Stiffler also threatened me and told me "good luck"
- nancyscam artist--keeps calling- thick indian accent- says they are an investigator from an agency
- Call type: Debt collector
- D Magee| 5 repliesReceived a call at my PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT from a guy with a thick foreign accent that I needed to call back for Matthew Miller, Attorney, regarding a "legal matter". Honestly? He had my social security number, which frightens me a little. When I told him to send paperwork and I would take care of it and hung up, he called back and told the receptionist to let me know that he was "sending the local authorities and an investigative team" to arrest me. Bring it on. Stop calling me!
- Caller: "Matthew Miller" attorney
- Tamianth replies to D MageeOne important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

https://800notes.com/forum/ta-4f7d326029dcf9d ... lectors-finally - Leah CThis is the second time this type of call has been made to me. They say that they are from a "law firm" and that money is owed to them. The last time they tried this (7 months ago) they said the "sherrif would be at my door the next morning" and hung up the phone. DO NOT give them any money. They are 100% scammers. They are incredibly rude as well. This time he said "you are making the biggest mistake of your life". Do not fall for their trick.
- AnonymThese have got to be the rudest people in the whole world. Please do not give these [***] any information. It is a total scam. Said they are an attorney and I owe them $700.00. I do not owe anyone any money. I filed for bankruptcy two months ago. When I told them that they hung up on me. They need to go back to their holes in the freaking sand.
- Call type: Debt collector
- AshleyI just got the same call and he kept saying the authorities will be at my job or my house to serve me paper work heavy accent and couldn't understand him. When I called back said it was a law firm very rude
- SHERYLReceived a call at work in ref to a legal matter? It was a gentleman of Indian descent named Jake Smith, really!!! I knew this person was fishing for personal info which I did not give to him. I told him to mail me a debt validation letter, and he tried to place me on hold, I told him no and to mail info to me. I doubt that I will ever receive anything.
- Caller: BARRY & JACKMAN LEGAL ASSOCIATES
- SARAThis is a SCAM! Called my place of work. I returned their call. They advised me that they were suing me for an unknown lawsuit regarding an uncertified loan with the Department of Crime. They had my name, address, place of work, personal info, etc. When I asked for details, the "paralegal" James Washington, x 503, Badge # 17012. When I called back asking for the spelling, the name, and location of the law firm "Terry & Jeckman" the person answering the phone told me I was a "dumb a*s" and not to call back.
- Caller: James Washington Terry and Jeckman "Law Firm"
- Sara| 1 replyReceived a call at my place of work telling me that I needed to call Matt Vitter regarding a criminal case. I returned the call and spoke to a James Washington with Terry and Jackman "law firm" at ext. 503, paralegal badge number 17012. Calling regarding a lawsuit with the Department of Crime. I asked what the suit was with regard to and was told that it was with regard to an unsecured loan. When I asked for details, the attempt at not having an accent slipped, and he told me he was filing a lawsuit and that the company "American Cash Lending" (which has no website, phone number, or contact information anywhere) would have me arrested at either my home or place of work in 48 hours. He then sited my address, place of work and personal information. I have filed complaints with the internet crimes commission, the Colorado Secretary of State and alerted my bank. When I asked him to spell out the name of the law firm and give me the address, he started to spell it out...then changed his mind, called me a rude name and told me not to call back...
- Caller: Terry and Jackman
- RaymondSome Alleged law firm called me from this number stating that my wife was facing criminal charges for running away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Told me that the case had been file with the courts (Which courts, who knows) When asked what the specifics of the charges were, he said the case had already been submitted. Then i told him "you call my wife three times for the same case and now tell me that you have no idea what the charges are?" He then tells me "I have to go, i have a family, good day" WTF.... Then to further things even more, he had another gentlemen call from a 9-1-1 number claiming that he was from the police department and that it wasnt a police case yet. He pursued to tell me that the 9-1-1 can be used for criminal emergencies, what a scam these low-life douche-bags are.
- Caller: Law firm
- ellie| 1 replyThese people should not have peoples work numbers! It is scary and someone should do something about it
- S Mc replies to D Magee| 1 replyJust got call at my work and cell number from this guy, Dave Meyer? really? thick Indian accent, said regarding a legal matter. Message on my cell said good luck as the situation unfolds upon me. I'm not in any legal trouble, and don't owe anybody any money like that, clearly a scam. I work at the local courthouse, so I dare them to call back!
- Tina| 1 replyI too received a call from this place said his name was James Washington, x 503, Badge # 17012. I do not owe them any money but he insisted that I do. He has tried sending me text messages in the past 7 months but when that didn't work they started calling me on my cell. I told him I have proof that all of my loans are paid off he said he didn't want proof and would not give me the address from where he was calling so I told him I have no debts with this place and hung up on him. Total scam don't give them any information if this number comes up just delete the message they leave. They are intent on getting personal information from you they already had my social security number.

- Alfalfa replies to TinaThis is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
