got a call from unknown number they left a message from which i retrieved the above number.. i don't know who it is... but they need to stop

here in tx. got a call from this number too! don't know anybody from jail? or in washington state or l.a. North annex?? weird????

Received 3 calls from this number. One said it was call from Bellum (spelling?) county jail. Called back it rang once then nothing.

Received message requesting a call to "set up an account so others may call you" or some such wording. Identified as Davidson County (TN) Correctional Work Center. Call back resulted in a recording beginning to request information, starting with telephone number. I hung up at that point. Apparently a scam, particularly in view of the many complaints about this number showing up on an internet search,.

Received a call from this number about setting up a pay account to receive a call from an inmate at Lincoln County Jail. Did not call the number. It called my cell and it was an unknown number but asked me to dial this number to set up the account. Pretty sure it's a scam. I wish there was a way to stop these types of calls.

Its not a scam... Someone was just trying to contact you or someone else from jail. Maybe they had the wrong number or maybe they were hoping you felt bad and you would accept the call...could be many reasons why they called but its not a scam

This number is for golbal calling.  If someone calls your cell phone from a jail or prison, you have to set up a prepaid acct b/c you cannot do collect calls on a cell.  This is the number that you call to set up your prepaid acct.  it is not a scam.  Someone has been calling you from jail, if you dont want to accept the call or set up the acct then follow the options to stop them from calling you.  simple as that.  relax its not a scam... and just cuz you dont know someone in jail doesnt mean its a scam... maybe they are trying to get ahold of someone and they have the wrong number.

I do know someone from Jail. It's my brother. I just don't want to except the call unless I know how much it will cost. How can I find out what the cost of the call is going to be before excepting the call

Received Amessage on cell phone. A recorded message stating call was from Union County, Dept. of Corrections.  Don"t know ANYONE that would be calling fromn that area however this system offered me the 'opportunity' to set up an account? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!

i know someone in jail who i'm expecting a call from and i think i have an account set up, but they tried to call my cell phone last night and it didn't go through. i got a voicemail today that i couldn't really understand so idk what to do

I received several calls in a row instructing me to set up a prepaid account to speak with someone in Middlesex county juvenile facility.  After the 5th call I looked up the information online and called the jail myself where the gentleman said he would find out if it was someone I actually knew trying to call me or just some kid bored wanting to talk to anyone.  Waiting to hear back but I don't think it's a scam, probably just some kid with the wrong number.

I have a son in prison in NC who calls me every 2 weeks collect with no problem.But I still get a automated call from this company each day,sometimes 10 to 12 calls a day offering money saving tips and telling me to call !-800-483-8314.I have called the company and talked to a rep who more or less called me a liar,said they didn't do automated calls.Their supervisor also said the same thing and even if it was coming from them it couldn't be stopped.This is totally unacceptable since I work the night shift and have to sleep during the day but can't because of this constant annoying string of calls.Can anything be done to stop this?
