We keep getting calls from 800-697-1234, telling us to return a call to 866-515-3445.  Very annoying, as we are on the do not call list and have an unpublished number.  Any idea to whom the number belongs?

I don't know who they are, but I keep getting the same calls.  When I returned their call just to ask them to take me off their list, I got a recording saying that representatives were "busy", so I waited, just to get another recording saying, "You are now being transfered", then I got a busy signal.  I think it might be like a junk email sort of thing where you call back and it just confirms to them that you have a real working number.  Who knows.  Weird.

Dial *67 and the company will not be able to see the number who is calling them. Have ready, the biggest loudest whistle you can get your hands on and blow it as hard as you can into your phone.  After they have lost their hearing then maybe they can find a decent job not involving bugging people on the phone.

Dialing *67 for 800, 866, 888 #'s does not block your number. This service does not work, I checked with several phone companys.

yah! when you call the #, and you press any other language for which you want to be heard as, you are going to be connected in English. The first time I called was today and they're requesting personal info for 15 years ago! HELLO!!! They didn't have the right info for "me" and they couldn't give me the "dATE" OF SERVICE"! they only could tell me "aroung" the date of service. This companty is a SCAM!!!!!! Do Not give last digits of ss# EVER!!! this is the way they get you!!!

I just received a call from a gentleman with a Middle Eastern accent from 8006971234. He kept asking for someone named Jennifer Lee. After I told him 3 times that he had the wrong #, he consistently asked me if he could confirm my address. I eventually hung up on him.

thanx for letting me know who these people are. They have been calling my house for months, leaving the same message, I call them back, they say, we don't have your number. I say, funny, I have yours, from calling me. Asked who are you looking for, turns out, that person doesn't live here, I've had this number for over 2 years. Got nasty with them, said I work in san Jose, If you don't stop calling, I will be paying a visit in person, which I do work in San Jose and I would go pay a visit. Not to be Violent, but to stop the calls. Guy said he was deleting my number as we spoke. I guess I will see if I am really going to have to go there or not.

I suggest being rude and making it very clear, you know where they are and you will be stopping by if the calls don't stop. I will repost in a week and let you know how it goes.

I keep getting a phone call from 800-697-1234 trying to say that I owe $400 for the ambulance from a car accident back in 2005.  My lawyer paid all my medical bills out of my settlement and I now owe nothing.  When I said that to the woman (doesn't speak very good english) she said why did u get a lawyer...then when I asked her name, she didn't tell me...I was furious then.  Then I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said why.  I think this is a scam and I was so furious I hung up on her.  I have no idea what company this was and gave her my lawyers name and number and told her to call them.  All I have is a number, on address or company so I can investigate. If anyone can give me any information on this please email me at Phatmom45@aol.com.  Thank you.

We are not the ones getting the calls. However, the callers are leaving my company's toll free number as the one to call back (it's different from the 866-515-3445 number Michelle posted). So we are getting called by angry people telling me to stop calling them. The person I talked to today has caller ID and let me know the number coming through was 800-697-1234, I searched it and found this site. I don't know if they leave our number on purpose or by accident, but I'm getting tired of apologizing to people for something we're not even doing.

Your caller ID is being spoofed and being used to cover up whoever's number this really is. *Yawn*

Yet another shining example of how legitimate and upstanding this company is, eh?

If you receive a call from this number just don't affirm a name that they are asking for or give yours.  This is a parasitic collection agency that lies about bills, debts etc.  YOU SHOULD NEVER DIVULGE INFORMATION TO THEM OF ANY KIND.  They will prey upon your fears and lie to get your credit card information and that's when they run up your card.  Collection agents are scum.  This is a known fact!  Leeches.

The 1-800-697-1234 is a debt collection agency based out of Atlanta, GA. I have an unpublished cell # and am on the no call list as well.  That doesn't stop them.
