- Alex replies to In Calgary...Just did the same - called back and asked to remove from the list. The rep was very responsive.
- annoyedRoyal Bank is not a small company to do this kind of calling from one day to another day. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME NOT INTERESTED TO ANY KIND OF PROMOTIONS BEING OFFERED SPECIALLY AT THIS TIME OF BAD SITUATION.
- Caller: 1-800-769-2510
- j t sauveI have only one credit card and it's RBC (royal bank of canada) VISA.
I keep getting calls on my cell, and no one ever answers, from
1-800-769-2510 & 1-888-556-5140. I have to pay for these calls. Somestimes it's 5 times per day. Why is the Royal Bank and RBC Visa selling my cell phone number to 3rd parties. i HAVE CONTACTED THEIR DO NOT CALL NUMBER AND REGISTER, AND NOW i GET EVEN MORE CALLS, AT MY EXPENSE.
We should all buy software and load these 2 numbers into it, and keep redialing their numbers and give them a taste of their medicine.
PS.: They are now also calling my land line, since I also registered it.
pissed as hell- Caller: rbs service & ITC
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MegSuspect it is RBC calling from another number as they used to call me repeatedly from one number, but I never answered...
- GinnyI haven't heard from them for weeks but now it starts up again. At least leave a message and not hang up when I answer. How do they expect to sell something when they are so rude?
- Caller: Royal Bank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MelHas appeared five times on my caller ID - no messages.
- someoneI am getting a number of calls from this number, not sure why. This is not good, at least whoever is calling should have calling id.
- dc| 2 repliesGiven that Canadians can graduate marginally literate, why are all the grammar and spelling errors so offensive to so many? It"s juest gooes too shouw up all that nawt every kanadian ends theire sayings in eh.
- Caller: cerdit agency hired by Telus
- Call type: Debt collector
- KathyThis is ridiculous, I changed to a cell phone so that I would not get these calls.
- Fedup WithtelemarketersConstant calls, no message. Why do we have a DO NOT CALL registry if we
have to put up with harassment from companies like this. What part of
DO NOT CALL is so damn difficult to understand? I do not wnat to be called, and will not talk to them or any other telemarketer. I would like to see them out of business. My phone is a utility paid for by me for MY
convenience. NOT RBC's!!!!! I don't understand why our overpaid politicians can't ever seem to get up off their collective [***] and actually do something for the people for once!- Caller: RBC
- WaryJust received a call. I have not dealt with RBC in 3 years. They called and the gentleman wanted to "check and see if the information they had on file for me was correct", and then asked me if I had indeed just recently graduated from post-secondary (Our college in town JUST had their grad ceremonies on Saturday). He wanted to know if this was recent, or if it had happened a few years ago. I told him that I have NEVER attended post secondary, and that I haven't dealt with RBC in years. He apologized and then said that he just wants to make sure the personal info they have is correct, and "see how I'm doing in life, whether I've had any new changes". I asked him what the true nature of his call was, and just repeated that he was just 'checking up to see how I'm doing, and whether anything new had happened'. I told him that I will not answer any of their questions. This does NOT sound legit AT ALL.
- D replies to alstroThis is the RBC making a courtesy centre...call. It is from their actual call centre. 2 ways to stop them...
1-Give the caller when you call back, or answer, your client card # and they will put the stop in your personal profile.......I don't like doing that!!
2-As I did...go directly to your branch and ask for the client services manager. Tell them this is annoying you and that you want your profile to show that you do not want any more client services courtesy calls. They go into your file and change the settings while your there.
Problem fixed-D - samanthaJust got a call but didn't answer. If it's truly important, they can leave a message.
- gcall around once a week no one is there when you answer.
- johnAbsolutely ridiculous. I get a call from this number (1800-769-2510) once or twice every day and when I pick up, there's never anybody there. I finally googled it today and found out it's RBC. Called the number back and asked to be taken off - was told it would take 30 days. RBC, fix your stupid automated calling system!
- Caller: RBC
- blah blah5 calls in the last week. always ignore.
- DaveUnknown but they call every single day.
- Annoyed RBC loyal customerFinally know where the calls are coming from. As usual, I don't answer to any number if no message is bothered. However, it is getting to annoy me very much and the possibility to terminate my account with RBC is becoming a reality - have been loyal over 20 years.
- Sweet angelJune 30th, I did not answer, glad I checked before.
- Caller: no name
- Sweet angelJuly 3rd,2009 did not answer call, checked the number first.
