- Lorrie CI received a call from this company telling me that their research shows that I may be related to who they are looking for and they have a very important message to get to him regarding something that he probably has no idea is going on........ long story short, we used to have the same address many years ago and are grasping in their collections efforts.

- Not happyThese people are calling all my family members, some that I have never lived with, who don't even have the same last name as me, telling them that they are looking for me because they need to serve papers the next day. They give a case # to them and tell them to tell me to call immediately before the end of business day. But I have not received anything in the mail about owing anything to creditors nor have they called my phone, and if they have they don't leave messages for me. I don't understand how they can call family members and scare them acting like I did something wrong and they need to serve papers to me. Doesn't the sheriff serve papers, not an attorney? They are freaking my family out!

- BradGot two calls today...while I was on the other line. Glad I ignored the beeps and missed them.
- elsgot the call looking for someone with the same last name. blocked my number, called them and simply asked for the mailing address. the guy kept asking what i was sending as it would go to a different address depending on what it was, and i told him that they were in Murray Utah and i only needed the street mailing address and it was non of his business what i was sending--he said "oh-well you don't have to be rude" and i replied, I wasn't that I was attempting to get a mailing address and nothing else. he kept asking for my name and i told him that he didn't need it to give me the mailing address which by law he has to provide. he freaked and told me the address so quickly--but i caught almost all of it except the suite #---that i had to ask for the suite and the zip code which he repeated. i told him thank you and have a good day and hung up!
the address is:
Thomas, Thomas and Wicherman & Assoc, LLC (not sure of the Wicherman spelling)
5250 South Commerce Dr, Suite 160
Salt Lake City, Utah (can also use Murray Utah, mail goes thru SLC)
84107
the guy calling and leaving the message on our phone was Cameron Lott. he gave a case#141848 which i assume would be there client's account number, whoever that would be, as it was not named.
By law they disclose that information but if you call and give them the case number or your phone number, it restarts the SOL and they can continue to bug you until it runs out again. even if you are calling saying that they are calling the wrong person, it still starts it over as they are "reveiwing it" and that gives them the ok to continue to bug people via phone, wrong number or not. at least in their minds, whether legal or not.
i am reporting this to FTC and my state's Attorney General. just because we have the same last name, doesn't mean that we owe someone else's bills. we are not necessarily related or knowledgable of the whereabouts of this person. they apparently are calling all people connected at anytime with our name and address including, most of which have not been around for 10 years or more, which makes me think this is a collection agency that is using illegal tactics to try to collect on accounts out of the SOL for many years and that they paid pennies on the dollar for to try to scare people into paying whether they owe it or not. They have to prove the original debt.

- WillieI got a call today at 1:25 p.m. from a Joseph Decker. He says his investigator came up with my name, looking for someone. Could I give them the location of that person. Me being a former P.I. I told him why don't you call the Sheriff's department in that said state of that county.? Trust me they can find anyone they want. Now I will come out of Retirement to deal with this issue. Do these guy's know some of us have tape recorders? I don't know all the details yet, but will be working on it.

- annomousThis company is a joke. These people called my mom first to get my number. So I called to see what it is all about, and they seemed extremely nice and helpful. But as soon as I refused to give them my debit card over the phone, they turned into the worst, most unhelpful, money hungry, non cooperative people I have ever dealt with. They refused to just send me the info about the charge and they couldn't understand why I needed it. Even my bank said that if it was a collection default, a collection agency would contact me. But these people pose as lawyers. Don't fall for this. Stand firm and demand all legal documents. By law, they have to do so.

- KMK| 1 replyI am so happy I googled this number before I freaked out. The guy that left me a message at work looking for my sister was Josh Cook. This is dept collecting at a whole new level. He was very convincing by posing as a lawyer claiming his investigators gave them my number. They are looking for my sister about a "matter that she is not aware of and that there is conflicting information that she needs to clarify". Nice try guys!!

- Mom of KMK replies to KMKThese jerks are looking for one of my daughters for some old collection, I assume. I found out yesterday that these guys also called one of her uncles that has the same name, who was so concerned he drove over to our house to make sure we were all right. To top it off, they called a different daughter's in-laws, who live 1700 miles away, with this dire message. They should be in jail.
- SusieGot a call on my cell asking for my son, then said it was an "incident". the guy acted like he was out of breath, like he was fearful for me. He eventually said I didn't seem like the type of person that would take out a debt and only make one payment. 5 years ago.....then he said he had mailed me letters. I said "where" and he gave an address in a state I never lived in.
I hope he never calls again, for his sake.- Caller: Thomas and Thomas

- Minister CaroleI received a call from #801-266-1717, Cameron Lott, of Thomas, Thomas, Witcherman and Associates LLC called me with a frightening message for my former husband's daughter. He knew my name and address, and all about me, and was very persistent that he must speak to my former daughter-in-law immediately, or have her call back before nightfall, regarding a situation involving her directly that she is completely unaware of what she is involved in, case file #147789-VA. He gave a call-back #855-600-1017. Again, he stated that he must speak with her tonight, as if her life was in danger. I have not seen her for over ten years and did not have any way to contact her. I researched the phone numbers, and found that TTW is a collection agency posing as lawyers:

I called my local Sherriff's Dept and played the message for them. The Deputy stated that this is just another way that a collection agency can force someone to pay a bill, even if it is not owed by that person. Many in my area have received similar calls. SCAM ALERT!! Do not call them back, they will try to force you to pay an erroneous bill.- Caller: TTW Thomas, Thomas, Witcherman and Associates LLC

- TracyI got such a creepy call from this number that I had to look it up. I'm not surprised to see that others did the same. My answering machine picked up the call and the guy was warning me that this was their second message and they had an urgent message for me for a guy named Russel Brousseau. I never even heard of this guy. But they kept repeating my name over and over again. The creepy thing is that it's a new home number that only my mother and mother in law know. I felt like Dog the bounty hunter hunted me down or something. I'm so creeped out!!
