- TammyI received a call from this number on Friday stating that I was going to be arrested at my place of employment if I did not settle an online loan that I had defaulted on in January. When asked for the specifics (since I have no such loan), they told me that I would only be given that information if I paid the settlement amount they were offering me that day, the amount of which changed frequently during the conversation. When I asked for the specific name of the company that I had defaulted on, I was told that they had hundreds of companies and they could not tell me which one had referred me to them for filing a lawsuit against me.
I told them that I would return the call later that same day for more information. I then performed a reverse lookup on the phone number and found it to be a landline in Burbank, California, listed under YMax Communications (Magic Jack). I then blocked my caller ID and called the number, pretending that I dialed incorrectly. When I asked where I was calling, I was told that I was calling "a shop". I then told them that I knew they had tried to scam me and that I would be reporting them, although I did not give them my name or any specifics at that time.- Caller: YMax Communications

- angry person| 3 repliesReceived threatening call from foreign guy who said his name was John Marshall. He said they were going to come arrest me on Monday morning in the county I used to live in. When I asked him the name of the sheriff of the county, he got very irate & told me it was my father. I said give me a phone number & he gave me this number & I said this isn't even an Arkansas area code so he gave me a number for the AR sheriff jail. Then he hung up on me. These people are losers. Too bad the State of Arkansas can't do anything about it. I've tried.
- Caller: He wouldn't give me a name
- Call type: Prank

- fed up replies to angry person| 1 replyI recevied a call from a guy saying his name was John Marshell and he worked for the sheriff department and he was calling me to let me know that I was going to be arrested at my work place. When I asked him some information he couldn't answer any and then he became very annoyed with me. He wanted me to buy a pay pal card and put the money on the card and scratch the back off and read him the ten digit number that was on the back of the card. I couldn't receive no informatiom about what he was saying but he wanted me to send money about something I don't know anything about.
- Badge714 replies to fed upHave you ever heard of the police calling you in advance to tell you they are coming to arrest you? Ever hear of police taking scratch prepaid money cards to pay a debt? Right, and so another scammer vanishes in a puff of logic.
