This is someone working for nco screwing with you.
They NCO did the same to me. An employee would send fake caller I'd numbers to my phone.
The hope is you call the number and het charged a ridiculous amount of money for the call.
We contacted Verizon and the local police and were told the calls originated from a switch located in severna park MD.
We never found out who or what NCO employee made the calls however it was from their location to the switch in MD.

This number was calling twice a day morning and afternoon.  Now they are calling three times a day.
I am on the Nat'l Do Not Call list and have filed complaints, they are calling more often.
That list is a joke.....

Call came in at 1:05 PM today.  Showed up as [No Name] on Caller ID.  Caller hung up before call could go into voice mail.  I am on the Do Not Call registry.

Two calls today, one for a back brace and now for diabetes.
I hung up because I could tell it was not legit.

Got a call from unknown number and didn't answer. They left no message. Looked up the area code and I don't know anyone in the Dominican Republic. I won't be answering any calls from this area code. Got to be scammers!

Get calls from this no.usually first thing in the AM. Don't ever pick up and caller ID says "unknown name". I guess people still fall for these scams...hard to believe.

Rec'd a call today @ 10:00 A.person hung up. I get cals all day long from these type of calls. Am on thr donot call list.

I got a call from this number this morning but caller hung up.  Several days ago I got a call from someone in this same area telling me my I was going to receive a new Medicare Care but when they began asking for personal information I asked why they needed this info they hung up.

Had a call from this number this morning. It was a recorded message regarding Medicare. I didn't listen to entire message, but rather pressed 0 & a live person answered, "Hello?" (BTW: Pressing 0 works with most recorded messages--just fyi in case someone is unaware of this). No company identification--definitely not a professional answer to a call. I stated that I'm on Nat'l Do Not Call List, instructed speaker to NOT call this number again & disconnected! We'll see what happens...

Why are there so many foolish people who believe that the U.S. and/or Canadian "Do Not Call" lists are respected by Jamaican drug traffickers and violent criminals?  They aren't subject to U.S. or Canadian laws.  And why do people call back these numbers?  And why do people think they can call foreign countries from their telephone the same way they dial U.S. telephone numbers, without getting an error recording on their phones?

3 rings and out.  "D REPUBLIC CALL" shown on CID.  Since I don't know anyone in the A, B, C, or D Republics, I didn't answer.  They ignore the DNC list.

Spam caller.  I hung up as soon as I heard the "dead" air.

Just received call from 1-849-963-4896. Caller ID said name unavailable. Didn't answer. Looked up # and it said Dominican Republic. Must be scam.

a recorded message said it was for seniors with diabetes.  press 1 for info, 2 to get off the calling list.  when i pressed 2 i was connected with a salesperson.  when i said 'put me on your do not call list' they hung up on me.

If Verizon "KNOWS" then Verizon should not allow the calls to be completed.... just sayin'
