- Sarah replies to Curious in South FloridaThey are....they only "formed" as a company in November 2012.....makes me wonder who really owns it since you cant find any information on the internet....
- Paris replies to Curious in South Florida| 1 replyIt is a rookie company but the people are all big time veterans , nothing to worry about
- Devon replies to ParisI wouldn't go quite as far as to say nothing to worry about. It's been a long work in progress and still a year to go.
- Devon| 3 repliesI rec'd a google alert that "Legends of Oz" was one of 9 movies that are competing at the Annecy Film Festival in France this summer in the "Feature Films " Competition. Never heard of this Festival but took a quick look at the website and it looks like a pretty good sized animated film festival. Not sure why they haven't put out any press on this? Seems like good news they'd want to spread around.
- devon replies to Devon| 2 repliesActually they do have it on their facebook page, when they switched movie names it threw me off.
- Animator replies to JohnAnyone is able to rent facilities at the Warner Bros. Burbank studios. You do not need a studio affiliation to do so. You may rent the screening rooms to screen your home movies if you wish.
- Animator replies to KTA competently produced film by a professional producer takes 3 -5 years to produce - at the most. How many years has it been since this project began?
- Are we all crazy now? replies to devon| 1 replyAfter doing a bit of research, I discovered that Clarius Entertainment has not successfully distributed a film. A CG-animated feature film starring Jane Lynch and Rob Schneider called Dino Time 3-D was set for release on December 7, 2012. Posters were up and trailers were even being shown at theaters. Alas, that advertised date came and went, and Dino Time has still not been released. Will Legends of Oz have a similar fate?
http://newwwoz.blogspot.com/2013/06/legends-o ... uffle-1939.html - Devon replies to Are we all crazy now?I think we all have to be "crazy" to invest in a movie but remember this is not just a movie. It is virtual revenue and licensing revenue. Not sure what happened to Dino Time but i didn't see Dino Time in Cannes or Anncey either. I know even less about Clarius but as a previous poster said, they are made up of people with some pretty good industry backgrounds. Wasn't able to listen to the last update call but heard it was pretty positve with things moving forward on various fronts.
- Toy guy| 5 repliesThings are going very well
- Charlie Cowell replies to Toy guy| 4 repliesThese people have never ever produced a single successful movie, and the distributor has never even distributed a solitary film and everyone is OK with that???? You gullible green-grass goats! Can‘t you get it through your heads that you‘re being swindled out‘a your eye teeth right now—this minute? There‘s a burglar in the bedroom
while you‘re fiddling in the parlor! I‘m talking about these swindlin' two-bit thimble riggers—road agents—
highwaymen—pickpockets. And if you don‘t hunt these man down right now like mad
dogs, there won‘t be any Harold Hill/Greg Centineo either! He‘ll be on the next plane out of the country/town. - Not Okay replies to Charlie Cowell| 2 repliesNo Charlie, I am not okay with that. My experience with Alpine and BOP began in 2005 and I wish I had never heard of them. I resent that going on 10 years later I have not earned a penny in return. I stopped after my initial capital investment and stock purchase even though they kept calling and writing me to ask for more money. They were persistent for a year and I am thankful that I resisted. If there was a surefire way of a bunch of us getting together to compare notes and determine if there is anything we can do as a team, I would be all for it.
- Don B replies to Blume| 1 replyI was taken by these people and two of my friends also we are out over $100,000 and no movie. This is a total scam of an investment. We are senior citizens taken by these scam Conman so a class action lawsuit is what I will join in. What I don't get is why these people are not arrested and all assets seized in the state of california.

and your local authorities - Devon| 5 repliesDon B. - why do you say there is no movie? What then was it they showed at the Cannes Film festival as well as the Annecy festival? There is in fact a movie and it is coming out next year in May - this info comes from the Legends of Oz Facebook page. There is a virtual world that is active , I don't know how well it is doing but is is certainly up and running. There is a Toto app for the iphone and ipad, again not sure how it is doing but it is there.Hyde Park International is handling the international distribution rights, Clarius the domestic rights, 20th Century Fox the home entertainment distribution, Sony the Soundtrack release, etc. This information is all available with a simple internet search.
Will investors in the ECOZ LLC make money off this movie and the other revenue sources as promised / promoted? I have no idea, I recall on a call earlier this year that they are lining up an accounting firm to handle the proceeds that come in.We will see if they do, they will be smart to do it that way to stop any issues. These guys want to make movies, not spend their days fighting with shareholders. But again - i don't know what will happen until it happens. It does seem they have gone a little silent as far as communications to shareholders - I don't think I have seen any updates for a while - would be usefull if they sent out some type of update letter on a regular basis. - Toy guy replies to Devon| 4 repliesJust received a written update from them regarding all facets of the franchise .
Things are progressing nicely
Who ever says these people are not for real are out of their minds - Not Okay replies to Toy guy| 3 repliesIf your post was more intelligently written, including some actual substantive statements it would make you sound credible. You do not come across as a fellow investor or someone who really knows what he/she is talking about. What communique have you received that the rest of us have not? I thought so.
- Fubs replies to Not OkayTo Not Okay,
I am a fellow investor. I agree that things seemed shady in the beginning but I believe that things are now progressing well.
Are you on the Oz mailing list? Did you not receive this update -
