I was on pof contact a gril on profile said she is 29   Right away she said that shy was H and ask for my number so I gave it to her she Text me  we exchange some pictures never said she was underage nex morning I get a voicemail from a detective black guy really ghetto #843-606-1819  he told me to talk to the father so I did then he says sir I juts want to do the right thing sir  he wanted me to send hem 1,800.50 on a PayPal or he's  wife  was going to press charges that happened on Monday I block both numbers  haven't heard anything since then .

Yes it is an extortion scam being run on or by that site.  There are numerous number threads here with the same story.  Make a police report to your local PD.  If the calls come from South Carolina, which seems to be popular with these extortionists, make a report there as well.

You are welcome.  That simply isn't how it works.  The cops don't call you up and tell you to talk to the victim.  They don't call you up to tell you if you pay money you can avoid charges.  If it was really an "underage" girl, they would be knocking on your door, not phoning you.  Too many people have fallen for this scam.
