Asset Recovery...collection agency

Called and demanded to speak to "Georgia or Ashley".  Wrong number.  I tried to politely ask what number they were trying to dial.  Male caller became extremely beligerent and almost threatened me because I 'refused' to answer his questions.  He caught himself then promised to call back "over-and-over" until I answered HIS questions.  I filed a criminal complaint with our police department.  

Collection agency?  Hmmm...

I love smartphones...I downloaded a call block app and now, if you're not on my contact list...well you get the picture. :-) It's a collection agency, I don't know the name. Once they indicate the call is concerning an "account" that's when I'd hit the end button so I never have heard the name. You just can't trust anyone cold calling you anymore, you have to just simply block all calls and create a "whitelist" of trusted numbers.

I just got the phone call from this  agency that i never hear before. the lady asked me to verify my last address and last ss number? I told her that i don't know who she is and i'm not going to verify anything. she said just verify so she can discloses.
she asked  it this your last ss # ? and last address i said nope nope nope.
i asked her how you do get my work number and i don't even know who you are? i said nope nope nope.

Continued calls from 847-257-8328.  Discovered it is a collection agency.  I do not owe any debts and want these calls to stop

Received a call today said they were trying to collect a debt. I called back and the lady wanted to verify info before she would tell me who or what company. As we aren't behind on anything. I would not give out any info. She said she could not even tell me the  company name. I hung up..

This number (847-257-8328)also called me 2 times back to back. I called them back and asked why they continued to call my house. They wanted me to verify the last four of my social and I refused to verify it. He told me he couldn't tell me what the matter was about if I wouldn't verify the last four of my social. With all the scams going on now I'm not giving any of my info to anyone.

same frauds as these criminals, including calling about same debt, same company. and again, they'll sooner die before I EVER phone them back now that it's been confirmed w/o a doubt that they're 100% fraud, criminals, outlaws, scammers, low life, degenerates, creeps, etc.

when you phoned back unfortunately you verified your number was valid. that's the first part of the scam. they then look up all and everything associated with your number, including employer and purchase phone records. these scammers are disturbing and create new numbers daily which is why they're ahead of law enforcement. best option, block their number and notify your local police which may help catch them. but they'll simply create a new phone number and start again

Debt collection finally had to block after bodily threats.  Police say there's nothing they can do.  Wanted my personal facebook page information so he could "buy" something from my business.  I said no repeatedly... then he accused me of trying to trap him.  These people need to be stopped!  Do we call the FCC?  Would not give name of the agency.

I keep receiving these calls and since I don't recognize them, I won't answer.  Unacceptable.

Caller asked for someone I'd never heard of, I told her that she had the wrong number. She apologized and hung up.

Caller is Asset Recovery Services.  Very, very aggressive.  If you have a past due bill and Asset Recovery is collecting on it, your best bet is to get your debt handled by a credit counseling/debt resolution service like Consumer Credit Counseling or Freedom Financial.  Asset Recovery Services is extremely aggressive and has been sued 35 times in the last 3 years for their illegal activities.  They don't care.  They pass the cost of the fines on to cost of collection.

These people might as well hang it up. To desperate. If you have to ct like this for money something is wrong.

These people just read a birthdate and social security number over the phone.  Is that even legal???  Insane!

Did not recognized the number so I did not answer.  They did not leave a voice mail. After reading about all the entries about this number I am glad that i did not answer.

Identity thieves who so blatantly ruin other people's lives, should be made to pay with theirs.  Scam artists like this should be hunted down and publicly executed.
