Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
    Try these alternatives:

    1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after 3 rings.

    2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

    3.  If your cel is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

    4.  Google NoMoRobo, and visit their site, to see if your phone system is compatible with that system.  (It may or may not be compatible).

    5.  Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

    6.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "Amazon phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon has to offer for landlines or smartphones. Similar devices are for sale on eBay and other online stores.

    7.  DO NOT call unknown numbers back!  Instead, read this:

I called them back. They say the business is POCCA, "Not an acronymn". They wanted to know the number I was calling about but would give me no information about the business. Then they hung up.

I DK who keeps calling but I am tired of the number of the beast showing up on my phone.  There was no one there when I asked who this was over and over.  Next time they will get a loud tone.  Praise God the Lord, the King.  To heck with the devil.

We are getting repeated calls from the phone # 855-666-9209.  They either do not say anything, or ask for Sara.  We received 3 calls this afternoon.

    Possibly POCA Credit Collection Agency?
  • 0
    Not My Debt
This number is related to a bottom-feeding collection agency.  As a victim of identity theft (which I patiently have explained to two different agents on two different occasions), I correctly disclaimed any responsibility for fraudulent activity.  Identity theft has been reported to PD, FTC and credit reporting agencies.  Also extended fraud alert on credit report (good for 7 years).  One agent promised to send me a "fraud package" so they would stop calling me.  Guess what?  Never received it, and calls keep coming, now to my cell phone.  Would not tell me how they found cell phone number as I restrict that to family and friends.  If anyone has had success in the past getting rid of these vermin, please share it!  They are very cagey about telling you the name of their firm, so cannot supply.  Thanks.

EOS CCA is the name of the company.  They are 3rd party debt collectors.  They buy old charged off debt for pennies on the dollare and try to collect the maximum amount.  Example:  Original debt - $1,000.00, they will try to put you on a repayment plan for the full amount when they padi only $100.00 ofr the debt.  Don.t make a payment plan as if you default on it they have the right (depending on your state) to collect the total debt.

Got a call, answered and they hung up. I know I have no outstanding debts. Last time I got one of these calls it was done like 4 times before they finally answered and started grilling me about someone named Tina.

    What
I have this call this morning, searched the internet about this caller, and found this caller is debt collection related.  Thus, how could it possible everybody in US own some money and this collector is calling?

If it is debt collection related, they have to obey the debt collection law where FTC.gov has more detail.  If they violate any debt collection law, they are subject to the law, such as fine.  Thus, use the FTC.gov and the collection law as your weapon to deal with this kind of things.
