Real legal servers do not call you, they just show up. Chances are it is a extortion scam operation. Without more info, its hard to say for sure. Sometimes legit company's also break the FDCPA laws.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

They call me yersterday too, and I've been woundering the same thing, they want money or they will send me to court

Call themselves "legal office"  but other than that,  refuse to ID themselves.  Total debt scammer, seems to me.

I got a call from the same number yesterday. They called my ex telling her I was gonna get a summons today at 1pm. So they might call someone you know like a family member or something. Summons are only issued by person or certified mail. Most likely it's a scam.

You never get a heads up before you're "served".  The process server is just paid to show up, unannounced and hand you the legal documents.  This is most definitely a scam.

What did they serve her --- breakfast, lunch or dinner?  Seriously, your post is very vague on details yet heavy on insinuations.  I assume you are talking about legal papers, in that case please specify what type of papers -- they could be everything from divorcee to civil suit.

Also, this forum is to discuss unknown phone calls, not legal advice.  I would suggest calling legal aid for that

If so, a public defender will be made available at your wives first appearance. My guess is that she was served a summons. I got a messages threatned to get summoned for someone that does not live in my property nor have they ever lived there in the 2 years that I have leased it. when I asked the moron to remove my name from the list because they were calling me at a cell phone which is charging me to get collection calls and Im not the person they are looking for he started cursing and swearing.

Your wife was served with a court order.   Court order to do what, exactly.  

Want to tell us:
 
1.  Address of the court.  
2.  Case #.  
3.  Name of the plaintiff.  
4.  Attorney for plaintiff.  

Oh.  Was someone  charged with a crime?  
1.  What crime?  
2.  Name and address of prosecutor.  
3.  Name of Defendant.

But of course it's all nonsense;  you're just a  shill.   There are no court actions; there rarely are  when kitchen-table debt scammers are involved.
