Two calls, no message left.

1/6/15 10:57 am.  No msg.

Called my CELL PHONE 4 times now (1 at midnight) and when you call it back it says this phone # only receives text messages!  OMG!

2 calls hung up on me

4 calls since yesterday. I answered one and there was no one on the line.

I love how you people just post "nothing"....it's a texting bot....fools....and yeah,it's annoying,but guess what??? The Government won't do anything about this sh*t,obviously....DONOT CALL??? HA!!!Our government laughs at us...this time vote for someone who does something instead of vacation,golf and throw a baseball like a little girl.

They asked to speak to "the person who handles the electric bill".  I told them no.  They still keep calling. My # is on national and state do not call list.

These creeps called me this morning and quickly hung up on them. They tried to disguise their number by butting a V in front of it. Not fooling me. Blocked them.

Been calling my landline for days, hang ups, no messages left, finally today someone responded when I said hello, saying she was calling in regard to our Met Ed electric bill wanting to lower it and crap, when I started to tell her not interested and wanting to be removed from the call list, she actually told me off, very rude, unprofessional woman to say the least, even if it is legit which I'm sure it's not, you won't get anywhere like that!

Been getting these calls for days too.  Nobody answers whenever I say hello.  They hang up immediately.

Interested to know...what state is everyone in that's getting these calls?  I'm in PA.

Called 7 times in 3 days.

These people are from an electric supply company in Texas that wants business (paying them to supply your electricity). They not only called us but agents from their company came to our door (even though the callers were told NO in a very definite way!) about 6 months ago and 1 became violent on my doorstep when I refused their services...they claimed that they were authorized to come into the home that I own to do a safety check for electric service and were going to save us lots of money. They said they WERE coming in...my loud yelling to get the F888 off of my property stopped them in their tracks. They then came around to our back yard and my husband had to et rid of these fools. The local Police were called, these 2 guys arrested, they were fired, and I thought all was OK again. 2 months later, another rep showed up on my doorstep; no peddlers' license or anything...they were run out of town the first time! Same thing this time. I have called my State Atty. Gen. Office and am asking for charges (this company, out of Texas) has been charged before, I am told. They called again today and I am DONE. I know you think you are so smart here, but wait until you have 2 guys on your doorstep, 1 threatening you and the other one trying to push your door open on you and come in uninvited and unwanted. Smugness is really ugly, by the way. Work on that.

This company calls here CONSTANTLY, sometimes 3-5 times a day, EVERY DAY. Sperian Energy. It doesn't matter if you tell them not to ever call you again and to remove your number from their calling list. I've told them at least 5 times not to call and to remove our number. One woman told me that I had to not pick up the phone when they call and that removes your number from their computer dialing. I can guarantee you that doesn't work. When I see their number on caller id I don't pick up and they still keep calling.

One of the male callers told me that I had to take their lower prices because he could see that we haven't been paying our electric bills and I told him that he was lying. He asked if we were getting government assistance. I told him, again, to remove us from their calling list and to not ever call again. Guess what? They're still calling here. I got ANOTHER call this morning and went through the whole thing again with a woman. She said she didn't have the authority to remove us from the list. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who she said was unavailable. They said they can keep calling here because they said MetEd buys their electric from Sperian, so we're already getting their electric.

Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.

Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

Google "call blocker" for more information, or visit Amazon or similar sales site.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service

* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.

* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

* Another option, for both smart and "dumb" cell phones:  Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers.  That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact!  You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number!

I received 5 calls from this number yesterday, 4 calls today. I want these people reported to the BBB. They are interrupting my work day. They need to go get a REAL JOB!!!

Called 17 times since 1/6/15.  They REFUSE to remove me from their list and keep calling.
